Proper etiquette when anchored out

We need a gun that we can shoot a "Stupid" flag onto a car/boat that can't be removed by the owner. After 3 flags, well...

When my son was living with us and had his 3D printer, he would put parts like that in an enclosed box with an open jar with acetone in it. After a few minutes the parts surface would level out to a nice glossy smooth surface. It was all about timing though. Too long and it would start to really melt. I think he was using ABS plastic.

I need to look into that more. I don’t know if it works for PETG. I haven’t tried printing with abs.

We have never anchored out that much with the previous boats. With the 380 we want to more. We did a couple of weekends ago, in an amazing spot, that is popular. We were enjoying the peace and quiet until...

At 27 seconds in this video you see two boats that rafted up behind us, you can hear them as well:

They were enjoying music and conversation, nothing crazy IMO, but we could hear all of it. We could follow their conversations. I wanted to listen to our music but my GF felt bad and said not to in case others could hear ours. We decided to not spend the night for various reasons, one of them was them.

Again, they were not partying or acting crazy, sounded like good friends having good conversation and listening to music, so we did not say anything.

I can imagine on a beautiful warmer weather weekend it could get crazy in this spot though. What is the etiquette when anchoring out, especially overnight? And what's the respectful/best way to handle a situation where it gets to be too much noise?

For clarity I wasn't complaining about any of these boaters, being out there just got me thinking about this. Last weekend was the guy with the 700 horsepower loud engine on his 10-ft boat zipping around every 30 minutes or so, and starting, then revving up his engine in between trips, and the big Sea Ray's blowimg their horns, but everything calmed down around 10:00 p.m..

It seems like if there are more than a couple boats, then someone will be an ass Glad you're getting some time in on the boat now that you got things working well.
