Does anyone who has the newer Prop Nut Anode for the Bravo 3 (the one that doesn't need the adapter because the prop shaft is threaded) happen to know the bolt markings? I went to take my prop anode off to grease by prop shafts. It came off ok. But when I went to reassemble, the bolt head stripped off before I could even get it tight.
I managed to get the bolt shaft out by heating it slightly to melt the LocTite. But I need to replace the bolt and want to make sure the bolt that was in there was the right rating. My SD220 is a 2008 and can't imagine that the bolt would have weakened in 1 year. I don't want to go match up the new bolt with the old bolt's stength, if it was the wrong bolt to begin with.
My existing Prop anode bolt has a marking of F593C - THE. My research shows this is typical for marine apps. But just checking.
I cleaned the loctite off the threads of the bolt before reinserting, but maybe I needed to clean it out of the threaded shaft?
