Does anyone here fly their own private signal or some other custom burgee they had made? If so, any good tips for a custom flag maker that is good, fast and reasonably priced?

Also, does anyone fly the US yachting ensign instead of the US national ensign? If I understand the flag etiquette for power boats, the stern is the position of prominence, and the national ensign should go there. The official US national ensign should be used in international or foreign territorial waters, the US yachting ensign can be flown in US waters. The yacht club burgee or private signal can fly from the bow.

Sound about right?

Hmmm, I am surprised that there have been no responses yet. I would have bet that the CSR faithful would have dozens of cool, custom flags to show off.

I have an idea for a private signal that plays off the name of the boat. So as soon as I get it made, I'll be sure to revisit the thread and posts pics.

I had some custom burgers made by north flags. I believe they are a division on north sails.

Flag etiquette is often ignored. Sounds like you have it right. I often see people flying the US national flag on their bow. A no no

I used a guy that owns nameflags.com to make my custom flag. I met him at a arts and crafts festival a few years back and the flag he made for me came out really nice.
