Portable Honda 3000 generator??

Reminds me of being under my car when I was 20 replacing a fuel filter with a standard shop light hanging right there. Well . . . didn't realize the line was pressurized and when the hose came off it squirted the bulb AND POP! Busted it and soaked me with gas. The panic that sets in an nano second is crazy. But thank the lord there was no fire. 20 years later and I still think of that moment that could have changed my life in an instant.

You guys are too uptight. Here's a shot of me and some buddies grillin' some burgers in the pool.

Just update your Will and make sure you have a lot of Life Insurance to take care of your family when you are gone.

Yes, Fumes = Boom!
Believe or Not its the same kinda thing with "Asbestos." You can actually eat it ( don't try this at home kids) with little affect. Just don't Breath it. While I am at it "Mold" you can eat it ( think stinky cheese ) don't breath it either....

To the original poster. I have run a Honda on my swim platform for years. I have a digital co alarm and we never sleep or nap with it running. I run it mid afternoon for a few hours to charge the batteries, if the wife wants to use the microwave I will also start it. I have a built in 4kw genny that I use in the morning to charge the batteries but because of the location of the exhaust I have to plug a fan on to keep the fumes out of the cabin. The factory installed generator has set the co alarm off many many times, the Honda not once. I anchored out for 6 weeks last summer in the North Channel had a great time used the Honda daily but used it smart.

You are going to hear a lot on this welcome aboard and have thick skin on this subject.

Aww your just being spooky... how about putting it in a dingy, floating it away with a long cord...

The other hugh thread on this site......power cords in the water.

Where is ******** when you need him.......:smt089

Opps......I guess the "W" (starts with w and ends with s) is a bad bad word, I am a bad boy...........

WOW! I honestly never expected such a large response. My original goal was to start the 'genny' and relax and probably sleep with the air conditioner on during a hot humid night... I really appreciate the heads up, I had no idea that the potential on the open water for fumes to seep into the cabin was so great. Big risk! Thanks, Bill

To the OP. The Honda 3K is a lot heavier than the 2K and much more difficult to transport. I used the 2K to run the 10000 BTU A/C on my Regal with no effort. There are many ways to do this safely. This subject brings about more division than congress on healthcare. E-mail me if you would care to discuss it offline.
