Well folks, here we go.... yet again. Another big media protest by crowds of African American in Minneapolis whining and crying about a how an innocent young black man was shot and killed by the police. No mention of the circumstances leading to this tragedy......

The video of Locke’s arrest showed police unlocking his apartment with a key and officers shouting, “Police, search warrant, get on the ground,” as they entered."Video from the incident appeared to show Locke's gun pointed toward officers when they opened fire."

Sorry this one may be on the cops. With all that is going on these days, especially in Minn why would you use a no knock warrant. Why not ask him nicely to come out? If he refuses, then go out to dinner. Don’t put yourselves in a bad spot.

Ok, so riddle me this - someone barges into your house, BRIGHT lights pointed at you and waking you up, while yelling police. What do you do? At 2am, waking me up, I am NOT checking IDs...

Agreed - 100% on the cops. I pity the fool that comes into my house in the dark of night, yelling "police" or not. Bad guys can yell "police" as well...

Cant answer. I have 2 pistols, both untraceable. The state I live in, I shoot someone, I have 2 choices. Go prison for unregistered weapons. Go prison bankrupt defending against zealous prosecutors. It’s a lose lose situation.

Cops can’t be cops anymore. They now need to knock on your door nicely and aks “hello? Anyone home? May we please come in and arrest you sir?”

Pfft.

I just watched the video about 15 times, slowed it way down. Until there's more video to change my mind it looks like the cops F'd up to me. The guy was wrapped up in a blanket like a mummy, didn't start moving until they were a step or two from him, gave the impression he had been asleep and didn't know what the hell was going on. I didn't see the gun pointed at the police. The guy they shot wasn't even one of those they were looking for.

Yeah. Not looking good for the cops. IMO no knock warrants need to be reevaluated and maybe used in extreme circumstances. Not only does it put the suspect at risk, but also the officers. Besides, if this was the suspect, and he was apprehended, the Hennipen County DA would have him back on the streets the very next day.

Excuse me fellas but I think some of you have been "beaten up" so badly by liberals and liberal media that your losing your perspective on reality! Cops have been utilizing no knock warrants since the beginning of time! They've apprehended thousands and thousands of criminals and protected the citizenry from harm for forever! If you point a weapon at the police they are trained to take you out.....These are trained professionals not run of the mill novices! You guys need to get a reality check and stop perpetuating the woke myth. Sorry!

Answer the question. If that was you, would you wait and check IDs on those who broke into your house at 2am, shouting that they are the police?

The guy they shot and killed was not who they were looking for. I support the police 100%, but come knocking down my door at 2am you'd be mistaken to think you'll be walking back out...

Finally!!

The reason we have so much crime is because woke-ass bleeding heart virtue-signaling idiots are so quick to microscope anything the popo does.

Next you’ll have popo send a text to the criminals asking permission to serve a warrant.

Societies deserve the government they elect. They also deserve the society they create.

Given today’s environment that’s just naive. Cops have a microscope on them. They need to be smarter. Was getting this dude absolutely necessary and worth the risk of something going wrong? Doesn't sound like it. I support the police and guy lives are being destroyed by things like this. It’s just not worth being put in that bad position.

Thats a fair response. Caskets are plenty. Shit happens. But that rarely happens such that you’d change the law or how cops have to act 99.9999% of the time.

It’s like the whole premise behind BLM. It’s bullshit. Cops don’t hunt down blacks. Blacks do.

Go ahead, defund the police. Disarm them because you’re scared they might make a mistake. But don’t complain when your home is invaded or your car gets jacked and the police are standing around watching.

The very same a-holes that complain the loudest about cops are the first ones to dial 911.

Today, Minneapolis is about 300 officers short, just to get back to par from 3 years ago. Back then, the police chief requested an additional 400 officers, and Mayor Jacob "Man Baby Mom Jeans" Frey gave the department 14. To say Minneapolis and St Paul officers are taxed would be an underwhelming statement. In saying that, I can see these mistakes happening more frequently because of short staffing issues.

They Mayor(s) and the Governor can care less about Hennipen and Ramsey counties safety, especially their LEO's. This has been demonstrated to the world during the 2020 riots. Most of the rioters that were apprehended were out of jail the very next day. So again, why serve a no knock warrant and risk the lives of both parties when the suspect will just be put back on the street the very next day?

"So again, why serve a no knock warrant and risk the lives of both parties when the suspect will just be put back on the street the very next day?"

Why put a limitation on no knock warrants, or stop and frisk or any other policy that calls for police to "police"??? I'd take your remark a step further and say.... Why even become a police officer to risk your life under any circumstance serving that city?

And as far as any one of us rendering policy opinions based on watching a video....that's not worth much at all. That's why those dopey marches are hogwash. They're designed by the black guys wearing the bowties to foster hate and undermine the NOBLE efforts of police departments everywhere! Rogue police exists and so do policing mistakes. But, diciplinary actions will take place when an internal investigation, based on the real facts, deems them necessary.

All good points and I also agree. In regards to my posts, a reevaluation isn't a 'forklift the program out'.
Your last question is the reason Minneapolis is down 300 officers. Until there's a change, which starts with the Mayor (s), Governor's and Soros appointed DA's, there will be bedlam in those liberal run cities and states.

"Nothing screams first world quite like a bunch of people complaining they have too much liberty and begging their government to take it away." Unknown

I just noticed your in New Jersey. Is liberty even a thing there? Is the 2A valid there?

Maybe that's why you won't answer what you'd do if 'police' break into your house at 2am...
