please help my baby sister

Glad to hear that.

Update

14 days post transplant
The good news
Most chemo side effects are drastically subsiding. Although still present at times they are intermittent not constant.
Her bones hurt alot. Kinda like sleeping wrong but every inch of her body. Why is this good news? Because that's the first sign of the bone marrow reforming in her bones!
The best news is her white cells count as of yesturday am was .5 which is the highest is been in 3 months! She's been coming up in count about .1 a day although that fluctuates is still good

The bad
Hair loss has brought her down in spirits bit that's just temporary.
Some side effects continue
She's been locked in a 10x 10 room for 3 weeks and is starting to go alittle stir crazy.

So for the first time in months the good out weights the bad

More good news to come in the near future!

That's great to hear, Jonathan. Let's keep the good outweigh the bad from now on!!!

Well the good news keeps on coming! What should have taken another 6 to 10 days happened in 12 hours! Her count doubled last night from .6 to 1.2! She left her room about 5 minutes ago for the first time In almost 4 weeks!
We are dealing with a minor set back. Small infection in her Iv line but we're waiting to c what the fix is but that should be an easy fix. Hopefully. It's coming along!

Great news Jonathan! Give her our best.

that is great news! time will heal

She was healthy enough to have me spend the night last night so I was thrilled and she got to spend time away from my mother that has been by her side 24 hours a day for the past 4 months so that was a bit of a relief for her.
The update
Her white count is up to 2.5!!!!!!
We're going on 4 days without any sickness
Best part of the past 2 days other then rising counts is she was served her discharge papers to go over the do and don't do. Although it's a couple days away that brought her spirits way way up!

This is all great news Johnathan. Were still pulling for her!!!!

ALLIE IS HOME! !!
so I got the cask this morning that her white count is 6.8! What was projected to take another 6 weeks happened over the coarse of 2 days! Also she got a plattlets transfusion 2 days ago bringing her count to 44000 today her plattlets count was 50000 which means her bone marrow is producing them as well! Her projected time to start to produce platelets was about 5 weeks and it has started already! She was thrilled to be home and all good things from here on out. I just want to say from the bottom of my heart thank you so very much to each and every one of you that has helped asking the way from your kind words to your prayers to your offerings to your stories. Every little bit of everything yall did helped in the biggest way you could possibly imagine. Although we ate just starting the recovery process, and it's gunna be about 18 months long everything is looking up and looking good and alot of that has to do with all of you. I'm so very lucky to have a family (csr) like this to help in times like this! So again thank you very very much to all of you

Side note. The bills are coming in and although 90% is covered by insurance they are hefty.
I'll put out to you this way the total numbers are enough to buy a brand new l 650 fly fully loaded! So although we didn't have to spend the donation money on finding a transplant recipient, the money will still be going to her medical bills so again thank you to all who financially helped out. And she personally says thank you

So we're at day 34 post transplant and doing amazing!
They say the first 100 days is critical. So we're more then 1/4 the way there!
She has her good days and she has her bad days but medically speaking she's doing great.
Her white counts dropped a bunch to 3.9 but that was expected. Her plattlets continue to slowly climb and her red cells continue to slowly climb aswell.
Most of her bad days are mental now. Being stuck in the house whole watching social media with everybody at the beach or vacations and party's is posting there good times. Friends say they will visit but never show up ect. Ect. But again that will all pass with time.
I'm sitting here outside her house while she plays with my 2 year old daughter (she's the godmother) after not seeing her for 5 months. Doctors finally cleared her to see her. So that's helping out with her spirits drastically.
But other then that she's kicking ass.
Oh yea she had another bone marrow biopsy on Monday and although not all results are in some came back.
First off they actually found bone marrow which has been unexistant (is that a word) for the past 5 months. Which is amazing
And the better results were they didn't find any signs of aplastic anemia!
More results to follow next week.
They only want her back at the hospital twice a week apposed to the projected every 24 hours and they say depending on next week's visit they may chit that to once a week.
All good news
Let's just hope her mental state gets better and we're well on our way to a full recovery!

Jonathan I'm sending my wife up to the Dobbs Ferry area for a week. Is there anything from VA that might cheer her up? I can put it on the train with her.

Thanks extremely generous of you but no there's really nothing anybody can do except her friends and family. Just need them to show up and take her mind off things. .
I mean unless you can send her with a pound of hundreds?
But seriously thank you very much from the bottom of my heart

Glad to hear things are going good so far. ill keep checking this thread for progression.. still in our prayers.. my son has gone back to work full time 3 weeks ago he is doing very good..

Update

67 days post transplant.

Having many many many more good days then bad!
Medically speaking she is way past the doctors expectations! Counts are all rising and Already at normal levels. (Low normal but we're almost there)
Recent bone marrow biopsy shows 0 signs of old diseased marrow and 100% of donated marrow! She's about a month ahead of the doctors expectations! She's out and walking 4 to miles a day and starting to live her life the way she wants to again.
Hair is very slowly coming back!
Her color and looks ate starting to look like the old allie again!
Her mental state is coming around and she's starting to get her old personality back.
We're not 100 percent yet but we're definetly on the right track !
If anybody is interested. All are welcome. I'm throwing a 100 day post transplant get together for her. 100 days is a huge milestone for a recipient and the doctors. Survival percentage jumps up to near 100% by day 100. So it's a little surprise for her on ponquogue beach in Hampton bays Saturday Aug 27th at 5 pm. This is were we grew up, her surfing career and her town of South hampton ocean rescue life guards career started. Just a get together with a fire at sunset.

Great news, she'll be jumping for joy
