We successfully cooked a pizza this weekend on the Magma Grill. We have the Magma Newport with the attachable shelf and cutting board. Well, all you need to do is remove the cutting board, place the stainless shelf in the stowing position.
Mo had the fixin's all ready to go and used Pilsbury pizza dough for this test run. It worked great. I sprayed the shelf down with PAM, placed the dough on there, let it cook on medium heat for about 6 minutes, then removed it and placed it uncooked pizza dough side down on a cutting board, Mo loaded it with the sauce and toppings, then place it back on the shelf uncooked side down to continue cooking. I set it on there at a low setting to not scorch it and let the toppings cook up nice.

It turned out very well.

Where are the pictures?????????

To be honest I'm not sure if I took any. I'll double check the camera tonight. If I didn't, I should have. It turned out really good.

Here it is.....We did have pics

Why did you put marshmellows on the top...kidding...looks great......we make pizza all the time on the grill......we use the pre-made pizza crust, top it and cook on grill for 6 minutes......our favorite is mozzarella and basil...

That is the funnest looking pizza I've ever seen. Whats up with the dog bone shape, must be a west coast thing (Grin)

Looks good and tasty.

Yeah, this had grilled orange and red peppers, basil and the marshmellows are Mozzarella balls. We'll do it again for sure.

Yeah, we're into theme pizzas and didn't even know it.
It is dogbone shape day. It just got rolled out funny. Tasted good though.

Pizza's turn out great on the Magma. We have done them several times. We use either soft tortilla shells(like used for making wraps) or Pita's....they are 6-8 inches. With this size, I can cook 2 at a time. I place them right on the grates...just long enough to crisp up the crust, and melt the cheese.

Do you think my round pizza stone would work on the round magma grill??? :huh:We have one those pampered chef pizza stones that I think will fit on top the grate...

I don't see why it wouldn't work. Just keep the temp low.

We grill pizza's quite a bit. I like using the Boboli pre-made dough the best. Coat the bottom with olive oil, top with fav's and grill at about 300 or so till the bottom is crisp to your liking. The kids really liked a dessert pizza we tried with canned cherries, white chocolate chips and a little cream cheese icing.

I think it would work. We are talking about using a cake pan and trying a deep dish the next time.

I made the mistake of putting fried chicken wings on the grill that were leftover. I wasn't thinking that the grease would eventually drip down and flare up. Let's just say those chicken wings were 'well done'.
