I have an '87 Pachanga 19 that needs the front pedestal seats recovered (the vinyl is literally falling off of them). I don't need an OE style upholstery kit (the rest of the upholstery in the boat has been changed, so nothing to match), but I was wondering if anyone made a kit that would fit them? Everyone locally seems to think that they can charge mobile marine mechanic prices to do upholstery work, even when I bring in the seats! Thanks.

I'm afraid the link and/or info didn't make it through to your post. At least not on my computer at least. Is there a chance you could re-send it? Something where price and quality meet certainly sounds like its worth some investigating. Thanks!

Bought new, I remember our 88 Pachanga had the seats and sundeck coming apart after the first season. Vinyl used seemed very thin and the seams were all tearing. Sea Ray replaced everything.
$3,500 edthearcher paid for all that work is not bad but be sure to see sample work from any shop you choose.

A previous owner did some home-made upholstery (which honestly didn't turn out all that bad, considering) but for one reason or another neglected to do the pedestal seats. I agree that $3500 for all that work on a Pachanga 22 was a pretty decent price. Truth be told, a Pachanga 22 with a 454 was what I really wanted, but this one came along for about 10 times less than one of those would cost, so had to get it. Trouble now is getting work done commiserate with the price paid for the whole boat/motor/trailer!
