I have a 2006 sea ray sundancer 240. The trim guage is not working for the outdrive.. it reads that is all the way up. (which its not) . the digital reading isn't working either.. any ideas?

Sounds like the trim sensors/sender are gone. There are 1 on each side of your drive. They all go. Some after a few years and some get longer life. Id wait till the next time your service your bellows/shift cable etc and you can get to it no prob once the bell housing is off.

Loosen the 2-screws that will allow you to rotate the one on the starboard side. Have someone watch the gauge while it is powered up. If the gauge moves, a simple adjustment. If it does not move, time to replace. There are extensive threads on here about this topic.

I just replaced the sensor on mine and it fixed the problem. I deleted the bookmarks for it but this is what it is.
It isn't a fix for all, but it is an easy, and cheap place to start.
