Well we have made it, from Gunpowder Cove in the Chesapeake Bay to New York City. It has been a great trip so far, but not without its share of bumps. I have lots of details and pictures on our web site.

All the advice from members of Club Sea Ray have really helped in making this trip and I thank all of you.

Welcome! I can't wait to look over your site and get up to speed on your adventure!

Nice pictures on your website... Looks like a fun time...

I see you're staying at liberty landing.

Yes we are, I believe it was Dom who recommended it to us and it is a great one. The new facilities are great and I’ll bet when they are finished with the construction it will be even better. Great location here, at D30

Nice! What a great looking boat! :smt038

Lunch at Wharfside. Did you eat inside or outside?

It was really hot that day we had lunch inside, it was the boat the had her lunch outside when I sucked up the sea weed while docked on the inside. My lunch was about 50 bucks, the boats 400!

Just gotta say..."What a great way to visit NYC!"

Being a NY Yankee fan, I just found out that Derek Jeter's former boat is now at my marina! 48" Sunseeker that he kept in Miami for making cigar buying trips to Cuba. Awesome looking boat.

We won't hold that againist you.... hell we don't have a baseball team here in Baltimore, do we??

The food inside is better anyway!

Really?? I was just getting nervous and jumping up to the window when other boats starting coming into the back side of the pier where I was.

BTW all the tips from you guys up there really helped a lot during this trip, thanks so much!

Outside is crappy finger food type stuff and you go up to a counter and order it, they give you a buzzer and when it goes off you go pick it up. Not cheap either. I haven't been there in about 2 years so I'm guessing it's the same.

Water is a bit skinnier on the inside of the pier. Boat can get a bit battered in there at times. Southwind is nice b/c it keeps the boat off the pier. Of course, all this info does you no good now!

Stopping by AC on your way back down? Anyone who's anyone is gonna be there all weekend ;-)

Nice pics and I really like the way you did photos and narrative. Very nice looking. Can't wait for the sequel!

What a great trip! I loved traveling with the Gulf/Keys with the Hamptons and this week I am in New York with you guys. We are lucky enought to live in a wonderful country that provides so many different experiences. Enjoy the rest of your trip and safe travels to all of you.

Bill,
Great pictures and looked like you guys had lots of fun. I'm sorry about your troubled delay with one boat having the engine problems. The biggest part I'm sorry to hear that the issue was minor and could have been fixed in minutes but it delayed the group for a day and cost the hault out. If I understood the story correctly the boat just picked up a chunk of eelgrass (exactly the same thing happened to me as I started heading out on my trip to NYC). This is somethig common in Barnegat Bay. There're few tricks to fix this. The worst one I ever had is when that eelgrass stuck in the scoopstrainer really tight, so I just took few dives down and cleaned it by hand.

So who is around in the NYC area the weekend of August 7th & 8th? The Admiral is in town for work so I am pimping her out for a cruise (she'll kick in for gas or buy drinks and food!). If I try this enough I will eventually get her hooked up with a good Sea Ray Brother (and his wife) that loves to show off his beautiful waters.

If we started doing this for each other, think of the possibilities...anyone like to visit San Francisco?

Ken,

Are you coming too... I would not feel right inviting her without you...
