Yeah, this has made rounds before, but I noticed the value of the boat has increased dramatically. Wouldn't you love to make a "$1,500,000" insurance claim on a boat that's worth $300,000?

Isn't the MSRP on that boat "$1,500,000" but yea I'm sure the insurance claim was interesting. I'm still not sure why they scrapped it and didn't try to salvage.

The original rumors suggested that her bottom had been torn out on the reef, and that the wreck had to be removed from the beach quickly, and removing even an undamaged boat once it's burried in sand is less-than practical.
