Opinion on water now draining out of hull when plug removed?

Just a follow up on the "on-board" charger in my 260DA that I wasn't sure on how to operate. I actually found a 12v vs 120AC connector in the transom cabinet. Followed your instructions and, "Walla"!!!! After hooking up and switching on everything mentioned, I noticed a blinking red light on the left and a solid green light on the right sides of the charger. I'm assuming it was in the "charge" mode. At least I'm hoping it was!! Right now I'll just turn it on once a week or so for an hour or two through the winter, unless you hhave a better suggestion. Wrapping due next week and hoping for good strong batts come April.Your help was certainly well appreciated!!! Thanks, Larrybell

I saw one reply that said just run it until it gets a lot worse. That's not a bad plan. If your bilge pump is working, why not enjoy the boat as long as it lasts and then part it out or fix it if you want?

i paid $1500 for my '87 Seville. It has a similar leak, but not as much water as you're getting. I'm planning to keep an eye on it and enjoy the boat.

I know now it's mentally hard to run a boat that you know has a transom leak, but if you can get another season or two out of it, why not?
