Yesterday I finally did a project Ive been putting off for awhile now. I had pulled out my xantrex inverter and removed the control panel from the helm, and it left a hole. Shortly thereafter, I replaced my radio with a Fusion. I took the remote and jammed it in the hole saying "Ill make it pretty soon"...that was last year. Then I started traveling mon-fri since Nov, and havent had a chance to use the boat let alone work on it. Finally, two weeks ago I ordered a sheet of acrylic and fixed it. Now Im just waiting on my aux input jack to arrive and Ill mount a 1/8" port right next to it (thats the cord hanging out in the before). I promise its the angle of the photo, and it IS straight (I measured). Not too bad for $20 and an hour with a dremel, drill and jig saw. Im going to try to find black screws too to make it match the trim.
