Do you polish & wax from the slip, or on land. Trying to figure out if its practical to take a rotary to my hull gelcoat from my slip.

Drag the beast out of the barn after work
that will do it for today
Tuesday will be my "work on the 240" day

Will be a few weeks before I can get at the boat. Hope everyone enjoys the boat time...

Have a good chili recipe you'd like to share by any chance? My daughter found Lone Star Steakhouse chili recipe on line a few weeks ago...darn good. Spoon stands straight up...

Put this in a crock pot and let it cook away. :smt001

  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 can of tomato juice
  • 1 can of tomato sauce
  • 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1/4 cup chili powder

Installing radar today and trying to figure out how construct a folding dome tower. Tower has to fold for transport and storage under the enclosure. Lost a dome once to a tree branch that wasn't there the year before - expensive mistake - not going to happen again.

Sounds good. Gracias!

Wayne I like to use Mr and ms T's bold and spicey bloody mary mix instead of just tomato juice...

OK, I'll tell her to try that the next time she makes it.

Both, I am going to use a floating dock to get to the hull and other areas or even a finger pier. I am tring to do as much as possible to avoid a haul out. Trying. To. Get her. Back in during the seasonal rush would be a "pia"

I'm waiting for my flight home. Tomorrow I start on boat prep/ dock prep. I'll be doing some work on my dock and canopy. It's a lot easier when you can walk on water!

Well. . . I find that if the boat is boat is on the water, and I am on a dock, there is much effort wasted with "pushing the boat away from you". It can be done. . but is a pain. Hull sides I do with the boat on the hard. I put extra coats on, because it has to last six months. Decks and whatnot can be done from on the boat.

Hmmm.... Do you really want to be hanging of the side of the boat/deck over water with a power tool? Not me.

Yeah. . that could be an issue too. Key is to know when to let go after the tool slips out of your hands. . .
