Use Trident 316SS constant tension hose clamps. They have radiused edges and full circle contact to prevent cutting into the soft silicone hose jackets and will retain tension when things heat and cool. They cost a bit more but will be the last clamp you buy for that hose.Regarding replacing all hoses/clamps while the after cooler is off: I talked to CAT about this, they sent me a diagram and said "tell us what you need". Having never done this before I have no idea which ones I need. I read others on here purchased bulk hose and clamps. If I go with the later, what size/type of hose and the same questions for clamps.
Thanks
The only Cat specific branded hoses you really need are the pre-formed ones and that little hose between the turbo and aftercooler. All other hoses are commercial marine rated hoses. The fuel system hoses are usually easier to have fabricated than purchase from Cat but I'd go with whatever is quickest and cheapest.
