they do make attacments for shop vacs to reduce the size of the hose. I would also get a heater and dehumidfer to help dry out the area. When i did mine i used over a dozen rolls of paper towels to sponge it all up

Thanks for the help...I got the shop vac in there by modifying an attachment. I just hope I got all of the water. Judging from my camera on the phone it looks pretty good in there. Going to order a 1/2 inch stainless Thru-Hull and put it back together later this week.

I power washed my ER wo weeks ago and was so suprised to see how many area water was trapped in. the valley in front of the fuel tanks was full had to vac all that out.

My wife wants to change the color of the doors on the refrigerator door to stainless. Has anyone replaced the doors or has anyone painted the doors?

If your frig has panels on it, then you can remove the panel and replace it with what ever you like. But if it is a molded door then your stuck replacing the frig or painting it, but that won't get you to stainless. Post a picture of your door, if it's a Norcold unit then you most likely can change the panel out.

Has anyone replaced the dash board panels? If so, did you manufacture the replacements or did you purchase on the secondary market?

I did myself :smt001

I am getting ready to transport a 390 EC and need to know Prop distance(between Centers) and Keel to top of radar arch height. Have searched the internet and the forums with no luck.

Anyone who transported one know the dimensions.

Or has anyone who has transported one had to remove the radar arch or props?

I shipped one years ago, arch and props were left on. But I'm sure it would depend the trailer being used. Ours was a hydraulic low bow.

Transported mine 4 years ago from CT to Mass with the props and arch both left on. Travel lift loaded both onto and off the transport trailer. All stuff must be taken off the arch however.

Center to center on the shafts is 5'-9"; Keel to the highest point on the arch is 11'-6"

Your actual height can probably be reduced for hauling by removing the all-around arch light. Also, this is the height of the boat and does not include any antennae, speakers, or radar dome/array you may have mounted on the arch.

390EC's can usually be transported on drop deck boat haulers with the arch in place but the props should be removed for their protection in transit and in loading the boat on the trailer. One of the last things you want to do is to remove the arch. While it is relatively easy on a 390, it still requires removing everything from the arch then laying it upside own in the cockpit where it is very difficult to protect and secure for over the road travel. Treat the arch like it is your last one, because it is; you aren't likely to ever find a replacement if yours gets dropped or damaged structurally during removal and transit. The other issue is cost, you can probably add 2-3 days for 2 men to remove and reinstall a 390EC arch plus the cost of a forklift or crane.

Thanks for al the responses, the are extremely helpful and ill make it much easier to deal with transporters as well as those unloading at the final destination

Sorry if I am posting incorrectly. Can't figure out how to add a photo profiles ether.

Hey Saverio,
Been watching the site for a while. It seems you are very knowledgeable about these.
Like the photos you post of your boat.
Transom, trim tab, shaft. Any and all.
Going to replace props, seems like good time to do it all.
Thanks, Greg
