Official 370 Sundancer thread

Can you let me know what NovaCool model you ordered and from where? Also xravenx what model Isotherm did you get, if you remember or have the info somewhere. Would like to replace this year but deciding between Vitifrigo and the others. Thanks!!!

We ordered model Novr4500. It should be here on Friday. We ordered it through Western Marine. They are aBC supplier here.

My wife came up with a great idea to add more counter space on our 370. Since we don't use the stove all that often we wanted to cover it and create a flat surface to work from. She went to Bed Bath & Beyond, (The TRIPLE B), and found these awesome bamboo cutting boards. They fit the stove top perfectly!!!

Here is a link to the finished product:(just in case it doesn't show up when I post it)

Hey Folks.
Anyone ever had an issue with a lingering gasoline smell. A few weeks ago I topped off my tanks, approx. 75 gal each P & S, and for the 1st time added some West Marine stabilizer. Several days later we were on the boat doing this & that and there was a distinct gas smell in the cabin and cockpit. Couldn't see any gas in the water or bilge even after giving the bilge a light wash down and pumping the water out and I don't see any leakage/wetness around the fuel pumps or filters. I've let the engine compartment and cabin air out over several days and it's a lot less but sometimes noticeable after the boat is closed up for several days. Sometime I don't smell anything but my wife does. Haven't taken it out yet due to crappy weather and winds but I've run the engines several times.

Anyone ever had any small point of corrosion at any joint, corner or other place that might have penetrated the tank wall causing a leak? My next step to be safe is to get my mechanic or someone with a gas sniffer/leak detector (if that exists) to poke around. Lots of luck if there's a leak way up towards the bow. There's no reason my tank vents would be clogged but haven't checked.

Any idea comments would be appreciated.

Phil

That's perfect, I'm all over that, thanks for sharing

Check your fuel tank vents on the side of the boat. If the temps increase after you fill up the gas will expand and start coming out of the vent. The smell tends to travel everywhere and can end up in the bilge even if the leak is on the exterior of the boat.

My fuel fill hoses were leaking and I had to replace them. Although I have a 96 with diesels, I mention this just to make sure you rule that out as a possible source.

XRAVENX to the rescue - thats a great idea - i also have a little 'oxidation' on my cooktop plates so this will cover up that ugliness too.

NEW QUESTION - has anybody ordered replacement wiper blades recently and know what size/type or have a link to the correct blades?

Thanks!

That is simply brilliant! BBB is right across the street from Costco. We're there Saturday!

Great tip!

Great idea, I did the exact same thing on my 1996 370 2 years ago. We never use the stove, so it is great for additional counter space.

It was an option. I also have 1996 370. The central vac is located under the starboard seat in the v bunk below the hanging locker.
