Official 370 Sundancer thread

Good info. How do they perform around the dock? Noticeable or negligible?
Too much operator error to make a determination around the docks. :)

But, they seem to work pretty well. I think the 21 pitch props I had on there, had a little more bite. But the 19s are working good.

I had some leftover cut-offs from my aft bimini build, which are SS 1" tubing
The only hard part is clipping the tray on the transom locker rail, and then getting the tray level, and measuring what the pipe length will have to be to have it sit level. There is a small amount of adjustment in the 60 degree fittings to account for differences in the transom locker door. Good luck. Tell your envious dockmates, especially on E dock you got it from Beach House.

:D

Will Do!!!! Can't wait to hear the stories that come from the mention of that!!!! We are in slip E6 and I can tell you now those folks down there are absolutely amazing!!!!

I've been through a lot of things with my generator. For the low cost and some of what you mentioned, grab some new capacitors and put them in. Easy job and one thing to take out of the next few troubleshooting steps.
I'd then be checking the governor oil level.
As for the not starting/dead battery type issue, that's an interesting one... maybe next time try manually jumping it just to see if that makes any difference and truly ruling the battery out.

Thank you so much for the info @BigRay370!!!!!

I dont think it will solve all the issues you described but I think it will help part of the way. The dead battery not being a dead battery though has me thinking. Maybe check your earth strap and make sure it's good....

So what is the trick to good access to the fresh water pump under the front birth. How to do get the matress out? Where do you put it? Etc. I need to do a little diagnosis with the filter and pressure switch as I don't seem to get pressure to build up and the pump to shut off, some times.

I was the first inside slip on the right. Think Lowfat is there now. Harley is still Obnoxious. No Winches (Carver 38) are my peeps. The Hunt's have the newer 370 near the end. I'm the one that made 'em all buy Sea Rays.

@Golfman25 Whats the situation with your mattress in the forward? We have the original mattress in ours that has the seam/separation in it to fold in half. Gives me plenty of room to get to the top of the water tank etc. Guessing that may not be the case with yours?

IDK, but it's big and heavy. Can't see how moving it out of there would be any fun. I guess I need to just prop it up somehow to make enough room to work.

Understood, again my story of folding mattress does you no good, but had to fold mine in half and took it home to lay out on our foam topper to stencil and cut. Even after folding that mattress it was a pain to move and get out of the forward birth, not to mention the joy in getting it up on the dock!! :D If I were closer Id be there in a hot minute to assist Sir!

That’s what I did. It is not ideal but if you are just changing out the pump, it shouldn’t be an issue. Unless it drops on your head. I think I just shoved it towards the bow the best I could and then propped it in place. Good luck!

I do have a folding mattress. Folds just enough to get good access to the AC. Not quite so good to water pump. It's a heavy SOB, so propping it up is a PIA.

So another question. I may or may not have some rainwater leaks into my bilge. Has anyone seen water leak from the vent covers on the rear corners of the boat? Looks like the previous owner used silicone to seal, so I am suspecting that may be where I am getting a bit of water.

So I'm guessing that there is a different layout between the 96 370 and the 98 370 in regard to the water pump. When I fold my mattress back it exposes the AC unit and also a hatch opening to the top of my water tank where there water pump is mounted on a plank across the top of the water tank.

No, I never found a good replacement and left it on the to do list.... I do need to sort it though.

So Im going to say something I feel is quite stupid here but how the hell do you even get those lights out? I can reach the starboard inside from the anchor locker but the port???? Am I looking at this wrong and they need to be pulled from the outside?

I think they come from the outside.

I had a leak on my 370DA and thought it was the port vent cover too. I rebed it and that was not it.

It turned out to be the rubber gasket to the water fill hose on my cockpit ice maker. It got old, hard and cracked. Drove me nuts about a year before figuring that one out.

Line 2 ammeter not working, not a huge deal but I would like to replace it. Anybody know where to find a replacement? For the life of me I can't not find one by looking up the part number in the searay manual, found some other types but not the same scale
