Official 330 Sundancer Thread

Anyone here replaced your radar with the GMR18HD? I'm about to tackle this and wanted to specifically know if you used a new stand for the radar or just mounted it on the arch by itself?

Yep figured it out. All the brushes were toast. :-( Had the motor rebuilt...... the solenoids were fine.

Somehow my alligator clip leads came off and then I must have reversed them when I put them on. I took the time to disconnect all, put a meter on them and properly hook them up. Good to go for now. Good luck, thanks for the feedback.

Not sure if has been covered but I searched and could not find the answer, but has anyone experience the throttles losing their stiffness. My port engine throttle slips and I need to rest my hand on the throttle to maintain the revs. I have 1996 with two. 7.4 mercrusier shaft drive. The throttle only started doing this last weekend. I was doing 2000 rpm. Does anyone know a way to tighten the throttles to prevent throttles backing off themselves

Yep simple fix. Just unscrew the cover, lift it up. The tension screw is the flat head screw in the center. The screws on the top and bottom are stop adjustments. Turn the center one about a quarter turn and slide the throttle. Repeat until it holds and feels right. See the red box below for exact location.

I bought one and my mech is mounting it on a stand. I asked him the same question. The stand is a leftover from another customer who bought it and upgraded in mid install for a much higher end stand. I'm getting it for next to nothing as it was a change order. The reason for the stand is the angle. It's a small stand...5 or 6 inches tall. The down angle is greater than the arch. I want to say 4 degrees. With the tuned props and enlarged tabs he believes the dome will be close to level at my planing attitude.

To any 1990-1994 330 DA owners. How do you remove the cabinet above the salon dinette?
I need to re-bed deck fittings located above it and possibly upgrading stereo.
I did a search and give up. I even tried contacting factory and still can't get it off.

All: I've loved my searay so much, I am upgrading to a larger boat. :) Put in an offer on a Formula 41 PC. If you know of anyone looking for an amazing 330 please keep me in mind. I've put quite a bit of $$$ into the sundancer and someone will be getting an amazing deal. Thanks!!!!

Hello all,
I am new to the forum. My wife and I have owned our 330 for two years now and frequent the Lake Erie Islands. I am looking to sell the custom made innerspring mattress that fits the rear berth of a 1998 330DA. We sleep in the front berth. Like new condition, asking $200. We are in the Cleveland, OH area. Email me if interested, or to see a picture. Thanks

Deal is almost complete for the Formula. I'll miss the SeaRay but will be happy with more space, more beam, etc. If you know of anyone looking for an amazing boat, my 330 is for sale and priced right!

Hi Guys,

New user, where do I find the hull build number or construction number on my Searay 330 Sundancer, c.1995?

thanks

Welcome to CSR and congratulations on your 330.

You can generally find the serial number for most boats on an engraved plate on the starboard side transom. For Sea Rays, the first three letters of the serial number are "SER" and generally speaking, the last two digits of the serial number is the year of manufacture.

Hello everyone. It's been awhile since I have been on the board
I need some help.
I want to install radar on my 1992 330 DA.
What is the weight limit of the radar arch?
I have a 4kw open array available. I'm just not sure if the arch will handle it.
Any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks

Curtain track for aft cabin.

Somehow the upholstery shop that is re-doing my boat lost the track for the curtain for the aft cabin, that gives privacy from the salon area. Can anyone get an up-close shot of their track, or happen to know a good replacement for it?

Thanks, and Happy New Year!

I'm pretty sure this is where I got the replacement glides for mine from. They had everything.

Thanks again Todd! That is the one I was figuring I needed, since it bends.

Now to bilge pumps. The same upholstery guys bumped on my bilge pump switch and burned up the main bilge pump, The one in the rear, down in the lowest portion in the back of the bilge, does anyone know what pump was originally in there? Or fits in the base?

Thanks,
Jason

Sorry, I can't help you with that one but, it sounds like you need a new upholstery shop!!!
