Official 330 Sundancer Thread

"Perspective" 330 Sundancer owner here.... in negotiations. Any gotcha's or things that I need to look for that you've experienced? I'm looking at a 1994 Sea Ray 330 Sundancer

I spent all fall look at 1996 to 1999 330DA. Best thing I can tell you is read this thread...ask specific questions and get a survey!!

Been reading through the 100+ pages with various info. Boat had survey was whistle clean. Amazing.

Did you have the survey done or was it done prior? Call me cynical but, I question the validity of any survey done "prior" or by a sellers recommendation. I would like my own surveyor without ties to any one else. Just my .02 cents

That sounds good. Did they compression test the motors & do oil samples too? I'm assuming they did as those are basic things.

That truly is Amazing...the only 96 to 99 I found that was close to whistle clean. Had been completely updated. All new flooring, canvas, electronics… Is this a fresh water boat? Uncover its entire life? If not I’d think there would fiberglass problems around the windshield. Around here there's problem with moisture in the deck around the windless....

No fiberglass issues (yes I read the thread on water leaks, etc). No signs of leaks anywhere on the windless or near the windshield. Boat was fresh water boat all but 1 year of its life.

Make sure the porthole in the galley behind the microwave is dogged and adjusted properly. I lost my upper cabinets from that one.

Well I pulled the trigger today and am the proud owner of my [new to me] 1994 Sea Ray 330 Sundancer. Prior owner took great care of her and I'm looking forward to learning and personalizing it. :)

Thank you! I'm super excited. The only part I'm not that fond of is the decor in the salon. I want to put on a set of disco shoes and get a disco ball with bell bottoms ... not that something is wrong with that but wow LMAO.

I hope I didnt over look the answer to this in another thread but I have a '95 330 with 7.4s and v-drives. My port engine unfortnately is done for and I am going to order the replacement within a couple weeks as I am doing the repower myself. I am second guessing myself on the rotation of the engine, but is it or is it not a standard rotation?

You mean the engine or transmission. I believe the engines are standard rotation, transmissions one is standard one is reverse... Port is clockwise, Starboard is counter clockwise..... I think..

Thank you. I was referring to the engines. I thought they were both standard rotation but I wanted to just double check. Thanks again!
