Official 330 Sundancer Thread

I have the Nautley system and I am very happy with it, I have a 9.9hp motor on a 9ft Mercury inflatable. I think the Nautley works better on our boat due to the Nautley lifts the boat a little higher, you need the extra clearance because of the double platform.

Thanks Larry! Appreciate your knowledge... Exactly the kind of insight I was looking for.

Trim Tab Mod

There has been a lot of talk on this thread about trim tabs. My problem was that the actuators were mounted an inch or so too high, so when they were fully deployed they did not have much affect on my running angle. My solution was to fabricate and mount a spacer out of starboard (marine plywood). Here is a pic of the finished project. A 1" spacer mounted under where the actuator connects to the tab. I had to drill 2 new holes for the actuator to bolt onto the tab, but other than that it was pretty easy.

Re: Trim Tab Mod

I just pulled mine off today! I have my metals fabricator welding a new surface onto the existing ones. Adding about 4" width and length.

1 more additional question (for today-ha!) Has anyone painted their glomex cover? mine is totally fried out and I want to refresh it. Can I just sand and paint it with Krylon white? has anyone painted theirs? It seems an easy spruce up job and it would go far to make my 330 look nicer.

call glomex, they are warranteed for lif, as long as the cover was never hit with something like a bridge, they will replace for free
. they replaced mine from my 95 without out any questions, even after i ruined the inside after trying to resolder the connections on thier mylar

I am finalizing all my stereo upgrades and now I am interested in mounting a 26-32" ultra thin LED over the entrance to the aft cabin. I want to put the sound through the stereo I am installing but want it first to go into a signal splitting device someone talked about here. It is a automatic shifting signal that has 3 inputs and 1 output. I can't seem to find the name of it and want to get it to my stereo install guy before he starts. What is the name of the 3 way audio signal splitter that someone here put into their system. Any help is much appreciated. I will post pix of final project too I promise.

I repainted mine with white plastic paint. It looks new BUT I didnt know I could just call glomex either. oops. It pays to consult the CSR board before working on the boat.

I dont remember what thread that was but I have been looking into this too. One site is this: http://www.usledsupply.com/shop/rgb-3k-manual-control.html I think this may not be exactly what you need but they probably have what you need somewhere on their site.

If you type "12V waterproof led strips" into yahoo or google or whatever search engine you use, you will get a thousand results and will probably find what you need pretty quick.

Anyone have any problems with spider cracks in the fiber glass. I bought my boat last fall and while buffing and waxing the hull this weekend have noticed many spider cracks not to mention another larger crack above the rub rail. Any suggestions on this.

Does the pull out couch require the settee table to support it? When I purchased my boat the PO mentioned that there was a very short 6"-10" pole to support the table in order to drop the table at the settee down low enough to support the wood piece that pulls out to form the settee bed. I never did find a 6"-10" support pole in the boat...

Does anyone actually have this small support pole for the table? I've never actually pulled that wooden extension piece out for the settee bed, but was just wondering if there was any truth to what the PO was saying.

Yes, this is correct. I have the small pole. What you mention regarding putting the table on top of the pole and then pulling out the bed extention answers the question why my pole seems to be an inch or two too short-I don't put my table on the shaft, but thought the bed piece rested on the pole. Thanks!

i also have the pole, i can take a picture or measure it for you this weekend , going to do work on the boat, did not know the board pulled out though, we have not slept on the boat much

Yeah if you could send a picture with measurements that would be very helpful. I've looked all over the boat but haven't seen this smaller pole. I will take another look, there are storage areas everywhere in the cabin.... Thanks for clarifying this!

I assume you have the full dinette version? Mine is the curved dinette (wrong term I am sure). On mine there is a wooden extension under the bench that pulls out and then a wooden support that slides on underneath to support it. I have a short aluminum pole on the boat too, but not sure what it is for unless maybe out in the cockpit it supports the table low to make a day-bed??? Never used it that way, but maybe that is what it is for.

Another question... I love this forum by the way. Its great to get answers so easily on all 330 questions... so anyway my question is what is the largest inflatable anyone has put on the transom of their 330??? I currently have an 8'9" Mercury but would like to get something a bit bigger. I figure if the beam is 11'5" I should be able to fit an 11 footer without trouble, but before making any purchases would like to hear first hand from other 330 owners. Thanks!

Ippa2,

Next Wednesday I'm going to install my Nautley Dinghy ramps for my Cadet 310 FR Zodiac that is just over ten feet. I'll let you know how it works out.

Love the Nautley dinghy ramp! We keep our Mercury 270 (8' 6") with Johnson 9.9 hp on it with no problems!

Can anyone tell me where the in-lne fuse is for the stereo. I have no power to the head of the radio, but can not find the fuse. Any help would be appreciated.
