Can I get a favour from someone?

We are getting a new table made for the dinette area. Could you please measure your table, and the length of the support pole for me? (and a picture, if you could) We're making out of a large plank of black cherry we have had in our basement for years.

Do you have the curved dinette seating or the facing bench version? I was at the boat yesterday and could have measured mine (curved dinette) but not back up till the weekend.

So she is finally in your hands! Congratulations. If you have any questions about the 330 keep in touch. My boat is named Gratitude so if you are out on the water give me a call on VHF as well.

Thanks! I'm sure I'll have lots of questions. She is coming out Tuesday and coming home for a good cleaning and loading of all our junk. Hopefully back in for the weekend. We're called "Our Honeymoon" Be great to see you out there!

Congrats on the new boat! I had to scan your dash gauges for comparison. I have the same engines, year, etc. On mine I just replaced the starboard alternator. So my Volts gauge is up close to 14 on that engine. My port is always off and down just above 12V but when I have a multi meter on the alternator I get 13.8V so I suspect mine is the gauge.

On mine at 3200 rpm both my oil gauges read where your port gauge reads. Your starboard gauge is bit low, could just be the sender or gauge. The temps on your engines are both a bit higher then mine. Mine usually sit around the middle between 130-170. Yours are just a tick under 170. Don't know for sure what they should be..

Oh and if you want a set of new switch covers http://www.searay-parts.com/ can sell you one for $35 along with the tool to take the old ones off. You don't need the tool, you just pull up from the bottom of the switch, but the tool makes it easier.

Thanks Tom! I suspect my volt gauges are off, the gauge on the AC/DC panel is right, and a meter on the batteries are showing good charge of the alternators. My port tach is all over the place, I suspect I have to fiddle with the 4-6-8 switch. The temp is rock solid a tad under 170. When we were on plane for an hour it was a tad over 170. (I'm guessing 160 t-stats). I noticed the oil press gauge too, I'll have to swap them out and see if it follows, hoping its just a finicky gauge/sender.

Here are some pictures. Didn't get a lot taken.

Tom, here we're just put-putting along.

He loves it, guess we need to keep it.

Yep I did the exact same checks on my Volt gauges, it's just annoying right now as I have also clamped onto the port alternator and got good voltage there as well. Mine now drops down to 12V on cruise and then comes back up to 13 at idle which is really annoying!! Yeah your oil pressure gauge looks to be the same pressure at idle as at cruise.

Your boat is in really great condition and those pics are wonderful, what a great trip home! Enjoy!!

Jim. My running temps a bit over 170 on the gauges. Both before and after impeller replacement. My starboard tach is the gimpy one. The more damp the morning the more "off" it reads. I have not done the 4-6-8 switch cycling. My volt meters are also not accurate. Voltage on the panel is accurate though. I tested it with a multimeter at the batteries during a charge cycle and when it was done. Trust the panel. My oil pressure gauges are exactly the same when running so I think they work well.

I have posted this before, but here is a pic of my guages when running at just over 31 mph

Thanks, that makes me feel better. Its coming out of the water today to come home to get loaded with our gear, and to get some things installed. If you get a chance next time you're up, can you please measure your dinette table?

I will, but I will tell you that the table you are using outside as your cockpit table (in your pcitures), is actually the dinette table. The Cockpit table is all fibreglass and stores (slides into) a spot under the aft bench seat in the cockpit.

Molson, you might notice a single snap on the bottom side of that dinette table. That is for stowing the table in your aft starboard closet (locker) and snapping it in with the strap in the closet.

Has anyone come up with a good way to install a ventilation system / fan for when the boat is between uses. We leave the canvas up and it gets very hot underneath it and in the cabin. I installed an exhaust fan in my prior CC cabin that ran when ever the boat was closed up (almost full time for 10 years) and worked well, but haven't found a good place to install an exhaust fan in the new boat. I could install a fan to vent into the bilge and out the engine room vents, but don't want a path to back-feed from the engines into the boat when it isn't running.

For those that hate the shallow cup holder on the port dash, here is a mod:

Pulled her out and brought her home to install my dinghy caddy, load our stuff and find the source of a vibration. Found it!

Keep us updated on the dinghy caddy install. I'm interested in that. Must be nice to be able to have that beast put into your driveway!
