Official 330/350 (2008 and newer) Thread

His current boat is a Maxum 2400 w/5.0 and Alpha. He has many years with this one and boats most weekends in warmer weather. He will be in a covered slip that is 16x40 so there is plenty of room to get in.

Wondering if anyone has installed a KVH Satellite TV system in their boat. I purchased at the Providence boat show a KVH1 and it will be installed by the dealer when the snow melts and shrink-wrap is off which is hopefully in about 5 weeks. I decided to go Dish Network instead of Direct TV as all Dish HD channel programming is supported while DirectTV requires a higher end KVH unit due to multi HD satellites. It comes with a single receiver box but I want to have a second one for my cockpit TV that I added. My question is whether I can use one of the Dish Hopper and Joey receivers sets that are sold on eBay with the KVH or do I have to go with two individual 211Z RV receivers.

It was, and thanks!

Once I got over my fear of snapping the whole piece it was fairly easy. I started from the middle, since it gave me a bit more "flex" in the panel to work the tool underneath, then once the first clip was out the rest was easy as I had enough room to work and see behind the panel to find the exact location of each clip.

We decided to replace the fabric since we were never big fans of the white stuff... not sure exactly what to call it... kinda looks like a window screen that was slopped up with white paint. Anyway, we went with a sand/camel colored sunbrella fabric. Great for the UV/meldew/mold resistance plus the color gives more of a contrast with the white vinyl sections of the panels and compliments the sisal (type) carpets and beige color vinyl on the seats. Can't wait to get 'em back... should provide a nice "pop" to the cockpit.

Sous - how did the refurbed panels come out? Any pics?

You are touching on a very sore subject right now. The short answer to your question is horrible. I'm dealing with the vendor now to try to get them redone. The admiral is none-to-pleased at the moment.

Im so sorry to hear, that is horrible. I hope it gets resolved quickly and to your satisfaction. I can only imagine how frustrated you must be right now. I was going to go the same route, but this is discouraging. Please let me know how things proceed.

Will do. I wouldn't let my issues discourage you, I still think it can be done successfully and I'm hoping that mine will turn out this way.

Hello all. I have a 2011 350 Sundancer. I would like to upgrade the current stereo speakers and amplifiers to JL. Does anyone know the speaker sizes so I can Pre-order them? I believe there are 6. One under the helm, one just behind the captain chair, two above the swim platform, and then two mirroring the on the port side. Any preferred spot to mount a sub-woofer? I'm pretty handy with things such as car stereos, however the boat it shrink-wrapped right now, so I don't have immediate access. Any help/advice is appreciated. Thank you!

My LG micro/coffee maker is leaking out from where water feeds in from the reservoir, while coffee is brewing. I'm only getting half a pot, with the rest leaking down to the burner, then out onto the area above the backsplash behind the sink. Any ideas how to fix this? I'll be sorry to lose it, been a great coffee maker, and those of us who have one, know they're irreplaceable.

I had the same problem last season a few times...no idea how to fix though...

My wife was able to locate the reservoir insert. (Above the carafe) on line last year. Is that the part that is leaking? The part where the filter goes? She dumped the used coffee/filter in the trash not realizing the "insert" went with it.

It's leaking at the point fresh water is fed into the coffee maker's internal tank.

Do you know where she found the part?
Thanks

I know exactly what you're talking about, mine did the same thing. In the bottom corner there is a little white (in mine) valve that pushes in and out. I found that mine was getting stuck. I cleaned it with some soapy water and was able to work the "doodle" back and forth to clean/loosen it up. Tough to describe, sorry, but cleaning it solved my problem. Now I just make sure to wash out the fresh water part and make sure to get some of the suds in that part.

So after many, many frustrating exchanges and back and forth with our vendor, we have finally gotten our speaker panels back with the new and improved fabric covers! It was a very long and frustrating process, but in the end we got what we wanted. I'd say that I'm still not 100% satisfied, but I'm in the high 90s, and realize that I'm a perfectionist. Below are some before and afters. We decided to get rid of the white fabric, which I always describe as a window screen gooped up with white paint, and we went with a tan Sunbrella fabric. Its a bit darker than the tan in the upholstery but its a pretty close match to the new woven vinyl sisal style carpets we got last year. The port side photo is a better representation of the actual color... for some reason in the starboard side photo the fabric looks darker than it actually is.

Looks great!!!! The color looks spot on. Your original covers were pretty bad. The new covers and carpeting make the boat look like new.

Tiric,
She is out of town now. I will check and see if she remembers and get back to you. If I remember correctly, it might of been the last available. We were so relieved because everyone who has this combo knows how tough it is for any parts. All over a dumb mistake tossing in the garbage.

Thanks, we are pretty happy with how it turned out and the color change of the panels and the sisal style carpet does set the look apart from others. The old covers were a mess, in fact the PO had changed the fabric on the panels on the port side before we bought the boat, and the fabric didn't even match. The one side was the original screen type stuff and the other side honestly looked like a white bed sheet. That was the other reason we decided to do the covers, not only were they a mess they didn't even match!

Looks really good. I like your carpet as well. Does it stay pretty clean? I have the standard SeaRay cockpit carpet and it gets dirty around the edges.
