Official 320 Dancer Thread

Robert-
Some thing more fitting- I'm also working on a Bottle holder w/ shelf for under the rear sink with access to the 120v receptical. Maybe even moving the receptcial more foreward. Also adding a pullout slide for the inside trash below. Even walling it in would make some sense.

Any thoughts?

I know it's killing me

I feel the same way, I want to add speakers to my salon TV, I would like to dip my Kicker speaker covers in the cockit to ruby red I don't know if that would make the boat take on a redneck affect though. I know I'ts like to have carpet made for it in a Blood red tone, that's our accent color, even her name is all in Volcano read as her trailer is.. But this weather is killen me, I want Summer here now, or at least my boat home so I can see her.

I use

I use a bucket, that is where i'm keeping my cleaning articles, and also things that the kids need quickly when they are onboard swimming and such. your going to have to shape the bottle holder like the cabinet itself.... but that is a great idea.

Robert-

Another one on the need to change list is The HORN. I guessing this must have been a cost saving item for them. Quite frankly I'm embarassed to get some ones attention using "the buzzer".

Maybe I'll pick up a decent air horn and experiment with a location.
Any sugestions?

horns

What were they thinking when they Sea Ray installed that type of horn, Hell I can barely hear it over the Hum of the Raymarine radar motor and it doens't even make a noise.... My wife is throughly insulted with tthat Horn, I don't have nay suggestions but we need a replacement as well, it's a nice spring project, but where would you run the lines........? I have no idea.

Some one in our marina put his on the arch. I'm a little leary though. That is too close to My Ears. The power and the swict all are in place for the Starboard deck area. I believe ther is ample room for a small marine compresor in the corner of the rope locker. The only concern on the corner of the front deck would be interferance with dock lines. I'm not sure how it would look there. either. Worth a trip to local West Store and pick one up to see if it will work.

Horns it is..

You go Boy, get that horn, but why not research and ask the forum for some advise on installation first.....I'm sure they have done this before....

Wow!! that horn is an embarassment isn't it??? This was talked about on the old SeaRay forum and everybody agreed that they should spend a few extra bucks and get rid of that stupid "duck" horn. Still waiting for your pictures Mike

Have you ever been in front of your boat and listened to the horn? It is actually VERY loud! I was told by the dealer that it is a directional horn and that it is designed for the sound to go out away from the boat and not be that loud at the helm.

On another note...does anyone know if there is an easier way to access the breaker panel in the cabin? I was thinking about trying to add the iPod controller to the Clarion stereo system. When I unscrewed the stereo and tried to pull it out, the wires are extremely tight and I can't get the stereo out without pulling the wires out. Is there some way to get access to the rear? I looked all over and couldn't find anything. But it seems like there should be access to those wires from somewhere.

Some pictures of Few modifications. Cockpit fridge Stainless steel face. Sorry the photo of the galley fridge stainless does not do it justice. I added two Lee S.S. rod holers both port and starboard. Working on changing that horn next!

Mike, I must have been sleeping :smt015 ...Great pics!! Looks good. Is that rod holder on your aft storage compartment used for your Magma grill? Thanks, Brian

Brian-
Sorry, been out of town on vacation. Yes- Rod holder on transom locker is for the Magma Newport grill. Stores perfect in locker. I was hoping to get back on boat for spring waxing but, 8" of snow yesterday took thunder out of my plans. Looks like were going to push out the splash by another week.

I found a small basket slide I'll be adapting to fit the trash can and will frame off the trash to isolate it. Then when you open the door you can slide it out. I'll send some pics when done.

Adding the underwater lights

Well, i've ordered the underwater lights from Hurley marine, can't wait until they arrive, maybe by next weekend I'll get them and have them completley installed with Pictures of the Modification.

Any 320 owners know where to hook them into the panel so that they will operate with the dash accessories switch.?

On the forward bulk head just ahead of your engines there is a terminal block to connect to. It is switched by the dash switch marked accessory 1 or 2. I believe its is shown in the electrial diagram as well.

Exciting stuff - go over your break in procedures thoroughly with your dealer. I got different advice than Marc.

Enjoy it! We have been enjoying ours. We are around 16 hours.
