Anybody need a set of Merc bravo III stock 20" three blades? haha
Do you know if they the same size for the 5.0 as with the 350 mag?

I doubt it. The 350 should have a different gear ratio.Do you know if they the same size for the 5.0 as with the 350 mag?
Hello Islandhopper
I just posted questions on the 260 thread about low RPM vs. current prop. I am only getting around 3500 RPM on a boat I just bought. Everything else seems to be running well and pointing to over pitched prop (currently 24P). I may want to try 20P (theoretically adding 800 RPM). Let me know what you want for yours if you really want to sell them.
Thanks
Al
Has anyone tried a set of 3 blade 24 pitch props with the 350 MAG? How much difference would that make? I've seen a few for sale on CL around me.
Jeeze, I can't swing a 20" set with my 5.0. Is there that big a difference between the 5.0 and the 350 mag? Dang it.
I've got 22's up for sale.
Follow up on wet lower step. It has been bone dry for more than a week after a vigorous wash and rinse of the boat. I think this rules outs outside leaks. There is water in the fresh water tank and I have continued to use the sink in the cockpit. I have not used the sump all summer, so it could not have been the culprit for the more recent wet step - same for shower, kitchen sink or head sink. I think this points to filling the water tank - in the future I will not put a hose there and let it fill until it overflows. I never use that much water anyway - I can easily get by with filling it five gallons at a time or something like that.
According to this chart looks like the standard prop is the same for both the 5.0 and the 350 MAG. Looks like the gear ratio is a little different though. Standard prop is a 20 pitch, so a 24 would probably be a bit aggressive wouldn't ya think?
here is the 2006 chart
