We manufacture and sell these panels (as well as the Axiom Units). We have a complete package in black available too. We can also provide OEM panel from Tecnografic as we are dealers for them too.

Quick question can you make the Dash Panel with out the Speed... And put a Garmin 742 in there instead? If possible in the wood color.

Yes, we can do that with the factory finish. We would order that via Tecnografic for you. If you wanted it in black we would produce it in house. I have worked with several CSR members and helped them with this.

The concept behind our black panel series was to offer DIYers and Pro Installers a cost effective way to put in a professional looking panel with our hacking something together (I have seen many that are ugly). Plus they match our DIY Adapter Panels for the Ray215 VHFs.

Personally, I have been wanting to pull my 2 Tachs and Speedo and replace with a third Axiom 9 to run all engine data but I would want to do that with the SmartCraft Connect and now we are talking $2-3K - which I can not justify right now.

If you our interested the best way for me to follow up would be for you to fill out the request form on our website I will contact you to discuss. Our info is there if you want to call me also. PMs are also welcome but I tend to lose track of them.

So I’ve been exploring the cabin and finding several areas that are inaccessible. The two that I want to look into first are the corners by the bed. How do I get inside the step and seat at the foot of the bed??
Also, has anyone built a seat/step at the foot of the bed? I’m thinking about bringing the seating around and squaring out the foot of the bed. I would keep it a ventilated storage so the A/C still gets its air and that would be where I would put the inverter and batteries for that. Thoughts??

See my post here for the area under the mirror door.

Not much space available under the other side as hoses and wiring run through there. Removal is probably similar.

Adding seating in front of the bed would probably cover the forward sole storage. It will also make accessing the bed a bit more of a trick as you will always have to step over it. As mentioned you would need to keep it hollow as it serves as the return for the HVAC system.

I put a cooler there when we travel. It might make sense to do something like that with a cushion if you need more seating.

You can put batteries in the sole storage. I have one there for my bow thruster. Multiple can easily fit.

Thanks for the info.
If I built the seat in front of the bed, I would just use that as a step to get up and down. We have put a cooler there also and that is how I got the idea.
I was thinking about using the sole storage for the inverter and batteries, but I can’t figure out the path back to the electrical panel. From in front of the bed I figure I could run under the starboard seat and then behind the couch to get there.
I haven’t gotten into taking too many things apart yet, I’m trying to plan some things out before I tear into it.

Cable path would run behind the couch cabinets (access panel in one) to closet (disassemble) then through area under seat to under vberth into sole storage.

Personally I would think a permanent seating space would hurt the value of your boat as it will make the area look smaller whereas a cooler seat can be removed.

Since it's your boat it's your choice.

+++ 111 on Kevin. We do the same with our cooler. Primarily serves as an ice chest. We have a divider in it so 1/2 is ice and the other for waters. (We add them from home already cold).
Keven - did you add the thruster battery? Mine powers from my Port bank and has a run all the way to the bow. Seems this would cause a significant amp drop. I have been wanting to isolate my thruster from the rest of my system. Was yours powered like mine was? How do you keep is charged?

It sounds like I should save myself some trouble and shop for a nice cooler with a pad on top.

And, thanks again for the info. It looks like you will be answering a few questions for me and supplying me some parts too. I have a list of updates I want to do. Electronics on on the list as well as adding autopilot. So if you have any insight to that, I’m looking to go the Raymarine/Axiom route. I’m figuring I will use your black panels to update the dash. Axiom 9 in the stock position and in the center (if it will fit, 7 if not). I want to do engine data on these. Autopilot display where the stock speedo is.

Raymarine Axiom 9 in Radar and Center Helm - Quantum Radar up top. All networked via RayNet (Ethernet)

We pulled our old Raymarine Pathfinder, an older Garmin (they were not connected) along with the analog Radar and installed this setup a couple of years ago and can provide install guidance as needed.

The bow thruster was installed by the previous owner. There was a Group 27 battery installed in the forward sole storage along with the bow thruster. The main solenoid and fuses were installed there too. It looks like a DC-DC charger was installed in the engine compartment and wired back to the dedicated battery to charge it.

The Group 27s fit in there but when I replaced the battery last year with an new AGM G27, I had to remove the solenoids and fuses to slide it forward to angle it out around the hatch supports. Not bad - just extra unexpected work. It the supports were 1/4" thinner I could have just lifted it out.

Thanks Kevin - Not sure if mine is stock or installed by PO. I assumed it was OE. It looks to be OE. It sits in between the front of the ac unit and air intake cover. I was contemplating installing a group 27/31 AGM in the floor storage, I think you are referring this to the "sole" compartment. Removing the run of very heavy gage batt cables from the thruster and powering it from the new batt in the sole compartment. Trouble I am having is batt charge. Do you think I can use the heavy gage run from the engine room to power a dc-dc charger mounted in the sole compartment? And then attach the charger to the new batt? Not familiar with dc-dc chargers. Would I just run the power from the charger off one of my main banks? Suggestions?

Would this one work in the config I explained above?

Has anyone added a fifth battery, a dedicated house deep cycle battery? I'd love to have separate battery with a 2000 watt true sine wave inverter when I'm on a hook for several days and don't want to fire the genny up early in the morning for coffee or late at night for 120v items. Something that I can hook into the battery tender/charger, which has room for a third bank of batteries. I was thinking of putting the battery under the cockpit sink and the inverter either in the aft port cabinet or where the built in vac cabinet is under the steps. Then just plug in the coffee maker to the inverter. I'm not even trying to integrate the inverter 120v side into the panel or other circuits or outlets. I have the inverter hooked into the port battery bank and if that side gets too low, I just parallel start or use the battery tender to bring it back up. I just think that will put more strain on port batteries. I'd rather have the inverter on it's own separate deep cycle battery meant to be drained and charged.

I have bow and stern thrusters from factory.

Bow thruster + genny + port engine + cabin 12 volt + cockpit fridge gets energy from port 2 batteries.

Stern thruster + starboard engine + cockpit 12 volt gets power from starboard 3 batteries.

There are 3 posts under the AC converter. But 2 of them are connected, line 112 and 114. 112 charges the port bank and 114 charges starboard bank.

Also the "114" connected post is bridged to the third post of the AC converter.

These all are factory set up but my boat is badged 375 which European and 220 volt/50Hz AC.

So there is room for third battery near the genny and also seperate charging post at the AC converter but that time you can't charge it from engine(s) if you don't modify it.

HTH.

My galley hot water hose is splitting between the threaded part and quick connect hose side when I use the dockside water inlet supply. I connected again it with some home made stuff like rubber and hose clamps and but it resists to the onboard water pump's pressure but again can't use it with dock side water.

So is there an o ring if it needs to be replaced to hold the pressure, or better buy a new hose then where can I find it ?

My faucet is below.

The faulty hose as you see clamped.
