The light in the electrical cabinet is wired through the floor illumination switch at the cockpit door. The floor lights must be on for it to illuminate. I only spliced in two new lights to figure that one out.

Is there also a switch for the electrical cabinet light. I'm pretty sure it didn't light up with the rest of the floor lighting.

No, if it is the same small led light at the top of the electrical cabinet that I had in my 320, no switch. It would turn on with the lower courtesy light switch. If it doesn't turn on, then you just have to replace the entire led light unit. I replaced mine last year at some point. Didn't even know there was a light there until reading some thread on here.

I'm sure this has been asked before but does anyone have the fuel/ rpm/ operating/wot rpm specs , for 07 340,inboard. 8.1L, boat test only has them for I/O boat

I found these two items in my Sea Ray bag but not sure what they are for. Anyone know? The black one looks like a hose connector but to what? The other looks like it might thread onto an oil bottle.

It's for the sea star hydraulic steering at the helm. There is a certain way to fill and vent the system. The manual should be in the bag.

Any thoughts ???? I just splashed my boat yesterday and water tested it .
the boat ran great ! I didn't like the smartcraft rpm/speed readings . (I did not have a second gps to compare with but !!! ) here is my question !
Oh , when I got the boat the surveyer said the props were cupped and a 1/4 in off ??? But would not get vibration( I did not get vibration)
here are results

IDLE : Port at idle speed 660 rpm Stb 640 rpm . SPEED 2.6 mph
CRUISE speed. : port 3380 stb 3400 spd 18,7. At this rpm port 3700 rpm. Stb 3730. SPEED. 21.4
WOT. Port 4240 rpm. Stb 4570 . SPEED 27.4

the low speeds are concerning !!!

everything else ,water pressure / temps / and all other sensors/readings were on the spot I'm thinking props need looked at ?? Any thoughts/HELP Thanks Jim L

Up date from marine max their thoughts

1. Props (check)
2. Tune up
3. Cable adjustment ( at WOT throttles were all the way down ) ???

Other the plugs what would a tune up consist of on these motors8.1

Something doesn't feel right.

At 3400 you should be around 28.5 mph. At WOT 4800 you should be pushing 41mph.

The black hose connector looks similar to what I use on the quick connect unit attached to my flush kit mounted to the engine.

Thanks, that's what I thought !!! I will start with props /tune up what is funny the boat speeds felt right , popped on plane no tabs in a heart beat, I think props are over cupped I'm looking forward to meeting with you and the other sea ray owners in the Sandusky rondezvous next year , by the way, we have nationality in common
Those figures are with inboards ??

Has any one run a HDMI or other cable from the DVD Player over the galley sink to the TV on the wall next to door? Is so how did you route it?

Ti Kanis!

Boat looks great! Where do you plan on keeping her slipped?

It will be nice to meet you at next years rendezvous for sure.

Yes those are numbers with 8.1 inboards. The only thing that may be different is that I don't have a genny, but that is not going to account for the numbers you are seeing.

I was looking at battery park !!! That's were I usually docked , I keeped my old body 340 , 2000 , with 454 370hp it ran 40 topped out .
This weather is really a head game , but I'll take it, better then rain. Boats at marine max now heated storage .
I'll have to figure out the electronics , I have the ratheon e series touch , and the fusion radio, and a lorance hsd 5 might need help figuring these out lol

Wondering if anybody can shed some light on my situation. I recently had manifolds and sparkplugs replaced on my 2006 340 with about 400 hrs on twin 8.1s and now hear/feel a nock when the boat is on heavy load and the portside engine tops out at about 3700 rpm (about 400 rpms lower than stbd)
Any ideas, has this happened to anybody else?

Thanks in advance...

What spark plugs did you put in? Also, check to make sure your plug wires are on. That one wire did not burn from touching a manifold or possibly need new wires... Quick checks to do . I've had your symptoms before and it was plug wires that needed replacing or attaching... BTW, I use this Champion plug 13-RS14YC6

What at plug wires do you all recommend? Is there an alternative to pricey OEM?
