If the flush fitting was a bear, does that mean it was not used?

No he struggled and was using pliers to pull it out. It was marked up where he pulled on it.
I put some silicone grease around the fitting O-ring and it freed up quite good. It's quite a sketchy setup to flush though.
She is going to take it to Marine Max and have them fix it.

Yeah, that's pretty common. Lightly sand the threads of the flush fitting cap to thin them out.

About to pull the trigger on a 2019 spx 210 outboard. Do any of you tow with outboard in the down position (easier on transom/swimstep)? From this pic it looks like adequate clearance. Mine has 200hp but assume same shaft length.

Post 1054 has the specific "transom saver" for your motor.

Question on my Seastar steering on my 2018 SPX 210 with 150 Merc. It has always been stiff and hard to turn the wheel. I get a good workout when I am running the boat, even at the dock it is stiff.
Reviewing the maintenance for this unit, I discovered under troubleshooting that this issue is addressed as air in line or kinked/obstructed line. When I had the boat in for maintenance at the selling dealer in Clearwater, they said this was normal.
What are you guys experiencing on yours?
Thinking I may need to have the fluid replaced anyway at this point.
Thanks

Hydraulic steering was a disappointment for me. Regular cable steering is much easier. I guess we could have upgraded to power steering...

Air in the line won't cause it to be stiffer - just "lumpy". Maybe even "easier" to turn the wheel.

It shouldn't be "stiff" - but if you're comparing to power steering it will feel a bit different. Slightly harder to turn - but not "hard" by any means. It does get a little stiffer at higher speed, though.

Start with a full bleed of the system with the proper fluid. See if that helps.

Maybe also disconnect the steering from the engine and make sure it turns freely.

Thanks, I am going to go ahead with a fluid change. Hopefully that helps.

I just picked up my SPX 210 and the little support lever for the motor won't go up to support it because the motor doesn't trim up far enough. Does anyone else have this issue?
No problem with mine. I do not trailer with that support lever, I do use the rubber transom saver mentioned above.

Do you mean the motor is hitting something, or the power trim system isn't working properly? If the latter, you need to check the fluid level and/or contact the dealer.

The owner's manual is very clear....you are not to trailer the boat using the manual support lever. Actually, I don't understand why they put one there in the first place. Possibly as a safety item so you don't get pinched when you are maintaining the trim system??

The tilt "limit" can be set via a Merc computer - and would have been done at dealer prep time. If memory serves, though, the 200HP is a bit too big to get it to trim up far enough for the support lever to be used.

But how close does the engine hood come to the boat when it's tilted up? Is there room for it go further? That will provide a definitive answer for you.

Hello. While cleaning up my new to me 2019 spx 210, I notice chipping and flaking surface on the floor of the ski locker. The previous owner had a rubber mat in there and a small amount of water was trapped between the mat and the ski locker floor. Was this area originally carpeted? I ask because there appears to be some sticky yellow/orange adhesive in spots. Anyways, after removing the worst of the flaking material, the surface beneath (fiberglass?) Appears clean and solid. Is this just a cosmetic issue and nothing to worry about. Can I leave it as is? Have any others experienced this?
