Hey SO! Did you get your table rack figured out? Here’s a couple pics of mine.View attachment 123271View attachment 123272 View attachment 123273

So check this out... I was messing around in the bilge making sure I had clearance to install some rod holders on top of the transom... while in there I noticed a piece of carpet that caught my eye as it looked tucked behind the black water holding tank on the starboard side... Lo and Behold, there was the table storage mount! I just have to reinstall it and we're in good shape. Seems like some handy-boatowner in the past removed it to replace the water heater possibly and never reinstalled. LOL!!

Wellll…. At least the starboard engine’s fuel pump didn’t crap out… new pump enroute and will get on the port engine in a day or two.. still had a nice slow cruise back on behalf of the good pump on the captains side! LOL
Fuel pump replaced and running like a champ. Took about 1 hour to remove and replace and most of that was simply the awkward angle to reach under the port engine... truly not a terrible job though. Mercruiser pumps are backordered.. went with a highly rate Amazon deal with what looks like true reviews... and she fired right up and purrs like a kitten. So for now.. a win for $65! LOL

So good morning everyone, came to the boat yesterday feeling like hammered dog poop. Neuropathy has been kicking my butt. Anyway, Queen helped me give our girl a much needed bath and interior cleaning. All systems checked out good. Spent the night (just me) and woke up feeling much better. Weather is completely wrong in a good way. Was supposed to be rainy. Not so much. New flags installed yesterday, Morning coffee done. Time for a Bloody Mary. Hope everyone’s Sunday goes as well as mine is!

We are planning a full day on the boat tomorrow, maybe an overnight down below at the marina, let's get our SUMMER ON!!

Back to the shower curtain question.

I have a few feelers out there to find someone who can sew and is interested in making a few curtains. I'm going to buy some new little slides and get a few made. Anyone else interested? I'm hoping it's a friend of a friend so cost should be minimal and the slides are pretty cheap. If I have to find a professional cost might be a little more but if I have a few made we can all share in it. Any takers?

Here is what my slider look like:

I’m in, I was looking at the track this weekend. I’ll take a picture tomorrow, supposed to rain and I left her all opened up to air out.

Getting frustrated… new pump ran amazing.. then exact same issue as last time. Started up to head back to marina.. no port engine. Exact symptoms and scenario.. hell even leaving the same cove. Bringing some doughnuts to my mechanic.. something is weird and I hope he can hear my walk thru and give me some guidance.

Did you replace the fuel pump pressure regulator while you were in there? That ended up being the culprit for me.

It’s part #15 on this schematic.

So i had several issues with my fuel pumps. Changed out several times, lost a shit ton of blood and learned a lot
1, make sure you just did not blow the fuse. Its in the lid of the long metal box on the riser. There are 3 fuses in there and i think its the middle one.

2, I bought a after market fuel pump from e bay. Bench tested and installed. Started up no problem and then caputt. Thats how i found out about the fuse. The after market just kept blowing that fuse.
3, those fuel pumps have a small screen at the begging of the pump. After a while they get gunked up. What i do is every month i change out the fuel/water filter. When i reinstall i pour 3/4 seafoam & 1/4 gas into the filter and install. Start motor and run at 2000 rpm for about 5 minutes. This will clean out your pump, lines, fuel injectors. Works great for me and at $10 a filter not too bad.

In addition, I like to run the 10 micron Sierra filters. They seem to keep the stuff out of the fuel system better than the 25 micron filters from Merc.

Did you take the medicine cabinet door to a mirror glass place for replacement?

Mine is cracked and considering changing out at some point.
Nope. Ordered an acrylic mirror on Amazon and cut it to size right at the marina. Used a random orbit sander to smooth the edges and installed on the vanity door with command strips. Took about 10 mins.Biggest time taken was rounding the two top corners to closely match the door shape there. Really nice clarity and smooth image.. no warped look to it at all

This is the product I ordered and installed. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08FZRQKKL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

Has anyone ever replaced the shift and throttle cables on their 290?? Mine are functional but stiff and I know new lined cables are wayyyy smoother.. but wondering how terrible that project would be?

All of you shift and throttle cables, (6?) unless you know better, are 20 + years old.
They all have numbers on them for sourcing. None of us/them are getting any younger.
Think it through.
