Official (1998-2002) 310 Sundancer Thread

during the survey on the boat I am buying, the port wiper will not work. I have read and searched most of this site and can not find info on replacing. Has anyone done this or is there a thread for it already. Thanks.

I have the same exact issue since we bought the boat - over a year ago. The mechanic said that it needs a new motor but we can't seem to get to it. We removed one of the lights in the cabin but it wasn't really large enough to get in there. I'm afraid that the header has to come down to fix it - although I find it interesting that more than one of us is having the same issue with the same motor. I was planning to call Sea Ray to find out how to get in there but haven't had a chance. I would love to know what you find out.

I have read on here that the headliner had to come out on a larger sundancer and I think that may be the same for this one. I will post more when I find out.

The head liner must come out to replace it. feel for screws along the edge and make a "fabric grabber" (long thin piece of metal with a hook at the end) to pull the headliner out of the joint in front of the screws. (i did the starboard side without incident) and unscrew the screw to lower the headliner piece. Searay will fax you over a schematic of where the screws are in this boat.

Thanks for the information. I was thinking that this would need to be done. Looks like I will get to it in the fall.

Well, she is all ours. We went yesterday morning and did all the papers work and it is a done deal. Weather was to bad to bring her home (6 hrs from where we bought her). So looks like it will be next Friday or Saturday.
Do have a question about the panels up front around the bed area. Is it poss to take those off the walls. I need to clean them or recover them.
Thanks.

new tv looks good. Do you happen to hav ethe part number for the cabinet door? Did you have ny issue mounting the hinges for it?

Thanks! The part number for the door is 40682. After you type that in, a custom door order will appear in the cart which you have to click on. Then select Doors --> RTF Door Fronts (40682 / DBS 751) --> Summer Flame --> Outer Edge - 0E802 --> Then you'll have the Height / Width Options.

As for the hinges, yes, they were a big hassle. We finally did surface mount cabinet door hinges from Lowes. They worked out great as you can even see then since we have the door opening on the galley side so the hinges are in the vberth (make sure to drill pilot holes, small and slow through the material). For the closure, we used Item # 28662 from Rockler. It is perfect because you can adjust the tightness. However, you will need to bring it out on a block of wood around the little lip, otherwise the door won't hit the closure.

Hope this helps. If you have more questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Congrats! The boat looks great. As for the cushions, I really don't know. We just had everything in the vberth recovered except the panels on the walls. We also had memory foam cut and covered in the same fabric which fits right on top of the cushions for when we stay over.

Weather looks great for this Saturday so I will be bringing my baby home. :)

Congrats and good luck. This is one great boats. Comfortable and fairly economical to won and travel on.

Was able to bring my, new to me, baby home today. What a great ride and a great time we had. It handled like a dream and all went well.

Hi, any of you 310 owners ever change the gasket on the frame of the power vent.... I asked Taylormarine, and the informed me that they do not carry this gasket any more... any sugestions. Thanks for any advice.

Hope someone answers this one. Might want to post in a more general area, this is a common Sea Ray vent window.
