Oct15 Somers Point NJ to Haverstraw NY

Heading out of MarineMax Somers Point to Haverstraw NY Oct 15-17. Any others here doing that trip? Have any others done that trip in the past?

nice trip the weather might be iffy especailly in a smaller boat... You are about 5-6 hours to NYC harbor. Then another 1 1/2 2 hours up to your destination...
Stop in at the Manesquan for fuel and lunch...

Yes, we are planning on doing the trip to Haverstraw with Marinemax. We're "Double Trouble" a blue/white 340 out of Shore Haven Yacht Club, Manasquan Inlet. We'll be keeping our fingers crossed for some beautiful fall weather. I have alot of experience on the Hudson as we used to be based there. It is a beautiful place to boat! The cliffs of the Palisades make for some stunning scenery as do the bridges and parks along the way! Not to mention West Point. We're really looking forward to this trip. :smt038

Hopefully the fall colors will be out. The trip up the Hudson in the fall is amazing.
