NY Boat Show

Every year I try to attend the NY boat show to see the latest and greatest and drool over the boats I can never afford... well I shouldn't say never, but at least can't afford right now. Anyhow, does anyone have a connection or a site that has tickets for free? So far every I ahve lucked out and gotten tickets and want to continue the trend

Ask your local MM dealer... I get free tickets when I ask...

I called the show and they said I needed to get them here:

They said I needed to be on welfare or some sort of government assistence program to receive entitled tickets. Limit was 4 per family and they can be scalped to people with jobs entering the show

I spoke to my salesman at Marinemax Surfside 3 on Long Island. He said they will NOT be offering free tickets this year. Glad I wasn't planning on buying a new boat this year the extra $30 would've been a killer on the deal.

Don't get your hopes to high. Even though MM sales staff usually get the tickets and I've received them on few occasions, last year I was told that they will have them at the gate, but it didn't happen. There was a new rule in place, have complimetary tickets only on Thursday and Friday, but void them on the weekend days. So, if you happen to hook up with one of your local MM sales rep keep this in mind.
