Who's vinny. Lol sorry did I hit a soft spot? Since we were being so demanding I figured I would be to. Do you still love me? You can't hate me, I'm to small. Like a cuddly teddybear.
There's something wrong with me....

as for the restaurants. I just looked up a couple and they are still closed for the season.
Singeltons crab and salsa shack says they survived sandy and they will be open a week prior to Memorial Day. They are located at tobay. There is still the option for nautical mile in Freeport but that is a first come first serve basis as far as docking and they are all usually packed... There is one more place that I can think of but I forgot the name. It up on the north side of the sound just past the wantagh state pkwy? (Second bridge coming from jones inlet make a lefty) but again can't call anybody there all still closed so ill have to wait till mid may.

Jon,
across from the bay you have ...
Lighthouse on the bay - Lindenhurst
Clubhouse or boathouse in Merrick
brand new place -or rebuilt - smuggler jacks in massapequa
babylon fish and clam babylon.
or course freeport....

others further east - bayshore and further west of jones - point lookout, island park

Buddy at work says the schooner, last yrs rest was destroyed, the roof fell in. Didnt verify this.
Tobay sounds good to me. We can dinghy over .

I don't hate ya, just bustin them. I just don't have the other boats info complete .

I will look into them Ron. Do you know if there still open after the storm?

as for tobay. I think that's are best bet. Only a dingy ride away. I think it would be fun to have a dingy convoy to dinner.

as for schooners. I took a putt down nautical mile lat night on my way in from fishing (not even a bite) and they havnt even cleaned up the glass from the broken windows. Yes the roof fell in and as far as I can see they have no plans on opening back up. Place is a disaster.
broccos is in full swing of rebuilding. There famously fish market side was open a few days after the storm and there docks deck and bar area look to be very close to finished.
tropix burnt to the ground and although they have tons of work left to do there looking pretty good. New bulkhead and bar is back up.
Be Elliot's is open hurricane Harry's is open and of coarse the gas dock looks great and should be open full time may 1st. So all n all for such a large scale of destruction I think all or most of the waterfront bars/restaurants will be open for summer fun.

has anybody heard about from or about paddy McGees or pops in island park?

jeeze joe you fouled me I thought you really took me seriously there. For a seconding thought I crossed the line again. Guess not carry on little fella

Tobay would be fun
Pops set to open in a few weeks
paddy and jordans will be fine.
on the nautical mile, other then the schooner, all are set to reopen

Itz getting close cant wait

Then put the cockpit carpets in (no more shoes) change my raw water washdown pump and im done with my list of **** to do. Finally. Officially got my first sunburn of the year today. Well in the states that is. All done compounding and waxing name is finally on carpets are in (officially a no shoes boat) very happy now the weather just has to get up to my boating standards. (Atleast 80) and the damn wateer has to warm up. 3 weeks till take off!!

We're quiet cause we're working!!!!!! Not like you who gets to play on his boat all damn day!!!!!! Mine is almost done about another week and a half and were done. Fixed up Mirage's new home today, new slip .looking forward to a great boating season.

Yea lol I quit my job last friday. They cut my ot and started playing games so I left. Start up again tomorow at the new police academy in college point. Im operarting a 185ft manlift (snorkel). Cant wait.

Glad your almost done and in the water. Cant go on a test drive solo:grin:

The academy is huge! They where going to put the drivers training on the roof!!! They still might. That's how large the building is.

We're quiet cause we're working!!!....

That's a huge understatement in my case. Working at work during the day and at nights and weekends on the boat. I forgot when I had a real day off, forget the whole weekend. But, I still manage to post here and there. Not sure what excuse others have, I hope it's similar.
