Is it legal in California to fuel your boat at the dock from jerry cans?

There isn't a fuel dock at all within a 15 minute ride? I have a fuel dock at my marina that I don't use. I buy on the Clinton River which is about a 15 minute run.

I do the same. Always at least a buck cheaper at Roys for the same stuff, plus it gets the motors up to temp

Our place just did the opposite. Dug up the in-ground tanks and put in two new above ground tanks for gas and diesel. This was one of the reasons given for jacking up the slip rate thius year

To my earlier post about a fuel tank truck, a buddy of mine had his own dock at his house, we'd all meet over there and make a party out of it and fuel up.

Our pool on the Ohio is about 15 miles long. There are no marinas along the Ohio in our pool and the only river connected in our pool that is big enough to accommodate bigger boats is the Beaver River. We have about 9 or 10 marinas on the Beaver but that was the only fuel dock. I'm not sure where any other fuel docks are in the other pools but either way you would have to go through the locks to get to them.
Not sure about the legality of fueling at the dock but we have no other choice now since the boro won't authorize burying a fuel tank and DEP won't allow a tank above ground. They might be able to fight the boro over this but the owner said it just isn't worth it

Thought maybe you knew something I didn't. There is a condo complex that was built recently around the corner from our marina so thought maybe there was validity to it...lol
