Every weekend the same old thing.... rain, cold, rain, cold. When is it going to get nice? I'm not a fan of hot weather but June is quickly coming to an end and it feels like April. Very depressing.
 
Sorry, Bridog. It's sunny here, but it's unusually HOT (except inside where I'm stuck).
 
Been nilce in Michigan lately. Had to run the A/C today or the helm would have been too hot. It's in the 80's
 
This weather is incredibly bad. Cape May, NJ has been a wash out. I bet I can count the nice days this spring on one hand. Fortunately, when the boat was out to wax the hull it was nice most of the time.
 
Looks like a nice week starting tomorrow. Maybe soon? Better be less than 11 days from now.

+1 I think it rained 13 or 14 or days out of the last 15 here in NJ. It was a nasty winter and now the summer is 90% rain! The weather gods need to give us a break.
 
Yeah, thank God for global warming. Otherwise who knows how cold it would have been!
 
Hmmmmm,:huh: where are all those Global Warming turkeys anyway.

Something tells me that they'll be vocal again as soon as we have ouir first "smog day":smt013
 
We went out yesterday in the rain... If we don't go out in the rain, we might not get to use the boat this summer... We went from our house to the lobster shanty (about 10 miles each way) and only saw one other boat... So the upside is water is not crowded.
 
Enjoy your cold weather while you have it, I was on the water for the last 10 days and even with 85spf sun tan lotion I'm fried. Also its been so hot even when the wind is blowing it's hot air and doesn't feel good and jumping in the water is like taking a bath! Sometimes Florida is just tooo hot for me.
 
Went over to Kiptopeke Beach Sat from Langley AFB. Nice water conditions, then about 2 the winds picked up...and the T Storms. Took a bumpy ride at 10 MPH or so for 20 miles from the Bay Bridge Tunnel to Buckroe beach then into Langley. We had the temp, but the wind was killer.

Does the weather on the East Coast get better?? I am new to this part of the country and it seems that every weekend the weather turns on me.

We're having the same crappy spring here in MN.....this weather and the stinkin' 3 months of "summer" suck. This past weekend was the first really nice weekend of the season but now the forecast is back to sucking.

I need out of this state before the boat goes on the market.

We cruised over to a friend’s Marina on Aberdeen Proving Grounds to spend the weekend there on Saturday in the rain. The bay had about 2 to 3 foot waves which cut our speed down, visibility was less than a half a mile. When we got there the weather cleared and it became sunny and hot, but the entire time I kept my weather radar on. Late in the afternoon the radar show a small BAD cell headed our direction, all yellow with a large core of red…. That’s a bad one! Well we were in the slips, put the canvas back up and climbed inside to ride it out. It hit us and boy did it rain, but it was over quickly and the sun came back out. Just after it passed some people came running down the docks yelling “everyone out of the boats a Tornado is on the ground in Joppatown and headed this way”. Joppatown was very close to where we were located but east of our location, the cell went over us and then hit them, so I was thinking the “Tornado” would be going the wrong way. As it turned out one did touch down further away but did little damage. Still I wonder if there are any good boating locations in OZ.:huh:
 
Spring has been terrible here as well....2 nice weekends and rest have been wet. River is now very high and swift...No fun

Yeah but....you have that nice comfy mattress to get rested up on! :grin: We had the same crap here. Until this past weekend, I had no use for sunscreen.

Cold weather? Yuck. I'll take some clear hot weather, thank-you-very-much. I work for a J&J bio-pharm; I get that number 85 sun screen from the employee e-store. So... bring on the sun!
 
Rain here in NE and for the rest of the week. Good news is that I was finally able to track down my freshwater leak - bad caulking around the Engine Compartment blower vent covers.

Saturday is supposed to be sunny.

Hey, OH Boy. lots of 1/2 Glass empty people in the north east here.
Good Weathers a coming! I am looking foward to the rest of the year.
I have saved all my Vacation days ( 20 to use by Sept ) I saved plenty on money on Boating Fuel. Saved money on Electric Bills have not Ran my central AC yet Plus Saved on Water and Elect for the pool. Not re-fill my Pool or run my Pool pump. May just give up on it. John G.
