Hey guys, I just bought a new Tundra Double Cab this past Saturday. Looking forward to towing my boat again as I had it high and dry.

Here's a pic.

Sweet looking truck! (I have an original model year 2000 V8 4wd Access cab, that pulls my 210 Select around with 130,000 miles on her, and she runs like she's brand new!) I think you'll really enjoy the new truck. I've been thinking about that very model, as a replacement, but then I look at mine, and there's nothing wrong with her at all, and no car payment to boot! I just towed my boat 50 miles up north to get it winterized tonite, and at one point, I didn't realize how fast I was going, and it was way over the speed limit, but it was pulling the boat, like it wasn't even there.

Nice truck.. My friend has the same one. Not sure which engine you have. He has the smaller V8. The truck rides great, but boy does it like gasoline! I borrowed it to pick up an ATV that I purchased for my son last year and was lucky to get 13MPG on the highway. 9 in the city. I think the bigger V8 actually gets better mileage.

Good thing fuel prices are coming down.. Oil was at $67 a barrel this morning.. down from $147 last July.

Yeah, I just pulled the boat today back to my house from the dry storage. It handles like a dream like there was nothing in the back. Sweet truck and thanks for the compliments!

Yeah, I have the 4.7L V8 (smaller v8 engine now offered). It was the only V8 offered back in 2000. (This engine was originally in the Lexus for a few yrs before it made it to the Tundra). I get about 15.5-17 not towing. Towing my new boat, I'm down between 9-12 mpg. My old boat wasn't such a big hit in mpg, but it's half the weight. The new 5.7L V8 does get better mileage, the new Tundra's a lot larger truck than mine, so that makes sense that the 4.7 uses more gas to push it.

Lots more info over at www.tundrasolutions.com - for any Toyota.

Forgive me if the boat is dirty...it was pouring today.

I want a Toyota 4X4 double cab so bad but my 03 Ford 4x4 is paid for and in great shape so I can't see replacing her. That is one beautiful truck. BTW the boat is nice too ofcoarse I have one.
