I got this in a Russo Marine Newsletter. Looks like Sea Ray has started a make over of the Sedan Bridges, this would be the next generation of the 400, 42,44 etc. It reminds me of the styling of the 75' they were proposing a couple years ago.

Love it.

Mainly because the Zeus drives will make this puppy outrageously expensive, which will make "old" boats like mine more attractive in the long run. I'm not really seeing what they've done with the extra space they've gained from the pod arrangement, other than a "utility room".

Not sure what they plan to do with that bridge. An open bridge looks nice in the brochures, but eventually they're going to have to put a lid on that thing. If they go back to a soft-top, that will be a step in the wrong direction.

I admit to being biased on this. It is a nice looking boat...

I'm betting this is built on the 43/47 Sundancer hull. I know it's a rendering but it sure looks like it. I think the arch lifted off the 400 Sedan sticks out like a sore thumb. I think a more angular arch with a hardtop would look great.

wonder about weight balance on that... I fear that all the Sedan Bridge boats will go the way of Carver and it's all about cramming the engines in the back end so they can be better dock queens...

I think the boat is fugly... Looks like a Four Winns... Kearny will love it.

Gotta remember that hard tops weigh a lot and are expensive to build...and add a lot of cost. The market could bear it a few years ago, but not now; not yet. That windshield around the flybridge looks like a late 80s Carver. I,m a bit slow to accept the new styles, I'll admit.

Actually, Sea Ray is guilty of this more often than Carver. You are right that it looks like a four Winns and a meridian spent a night together.

Kinda reminds me of the 47 Sedan which at least in my eyes is a huge disappointment. At least they left a layout that still works well.

I'm too much of a traditionalist to like the new "Eurodesign" boats with all the sweeps and swoops in them. Give me a more traditional look and I love 'em. There's something about that boat that reminds me of a Cruisers design and I can't say I've ever been fond of them.

The fly bridge looks too small for that boat. Looks like they gave up useful space to make the boat look sporty.

A bridge without a hardtop? Mistake! Ya I can get canvas add on, but nope! Searay, stop with all the changes please and perfect the good line of boats you have now!! Design boats by the people, not by the creative engineers thinking outside the box

Considering alot of the other bridge designs many builders are putting out there today, it's certainly not that radical. i'm not into all the salon window crap going on here, but could be worse. I too am a traditionalist and dont mind seeing the swept back arch (sort of feels like i'm looking at a 400DB here) but I suspect it'll have a hard top in a year or two giving it more of a 480DB look.

Now, when sea ray builds their first clorox bottle with windows, I'm done.

Looks like very cool and modern re-design of 2003/2004 400DB. As Tim mentioned, it'll be more obvious once they'll put the bridge canvas up.

Even though it looks pretty nice, but I was expecting much more from 450DB now days.

Edited:
Looking a bit closer SR added some useful/functional features like:
- L-shape cockpit seat with a bar (not sure if it’s a wet bar or just a fridge under it)
- The bridge has double companion seat and looks like larger U-shape seating area. However having a solid back support without an opening kind of creates extra view obstruction when backing in to a slip.
- I agree on meridian look comment, but in this case it might be a positive. I’m referring to the extra large slick looking style windows providing much more scenery view and allowing more natural light in the cabin.

One very strange thing I’ve noticed is how the bridge TV is hanging over the port side. It looks like as soon as the bridge canvas is up the TV time is over since you’ll have to turn it to make it fit within the canvas dimensions. At least that’s my impression based on the picture.

Hands down the current 450DB on SR site wins big time for my taste.

I would like to see a side view as it seems to be too much of a cab-forward design for my tastes.
Where is the bow sunpad???

The boat rides very low in the water with Pods.. Don't you think? :smt001
