You will have to put a 5 way plug on the truck... The 5th. wire should be for releasing the surge brakes so you can back up with the trailer. This wire connects to the back up lights on your vehicle.

Yep, go to auto zone and get an adapter. The 5th wire will hook up to the back up lights on your truck. I just removed my tail light, and used a tester to find the right wire. The adapter came with everything I needed. It is really easy to install. I will get pics of mine if you need them.
