Hi everyone, I am in the final stages of purchasing a leftover 2009 270 Sundancer. Just ironing out the details and hopefully she will be mine.

I'm new to cruising, but have been boating for sometime. I am moving up from an 18 foot fish and ski and look forward to the new experience. My wife and I are a little nervous about the expense, but are looking forward to becoming part of the community.

We are not going to put the boat in until next May, so I have the whole winter to anticpate the boat. During that time, I will be learning as much as I can and will have alot of questions. Hopefully, I don't become too annoying!

Congrats... Where do you plan on keeping her? Why not include in your negotiations a free slip and winterization for the best month for boating on the Jersey shore???

We are going to keep her in the Delaware near Philly for the first year or two, but plan on settling in the upper Chesapeake. We visited the area for the first time and absolutely fell in love with it.

Some minor surgery will probably be ending our boating season, but not the negotiation season! I am working out a deal that I am absolutely satisfied with. I initially intended on buying used, but found a nice deal in Pa.

Nothing like a new boat... Make sure you make friends with the service dept... I had a two page punch list at my 20 check on my last new boat... Hopefully the PA service dept will travel to your marina...
