Hi all, new guy here. I have been researching Sundancers for a few months now. I have decided that a 29-32 model, 2005-2010 will suit me perfectly......moving up from a 26 walkaround with twin outboards. I plan to purchase in the next 6-9 months. I am surprised by how the layouts are different and that cockpit design will be one of the deciding factors when I pull the trigger. Lots of good deal on the 300 model 2004-2006. One thing I am confused about is deck access, there doesn't appear to be any, other than around the side. Am I seeing this right? Could this have something to with the fact that there are so many on the used market?

The bow access on my 310 is only through the windshield... no walk-around. Most that have a walk-around (in your target models) don't have through the windshield access.

Keep in mind that the 2010 (and newer) are not the same model for model as their predecessors... For example, my 2007 310 DA is the same boat as a 2010 330 DA.

Welcome to CSR!

I gotcha, thanks. I can see the "walkaround" now that I look closer. Not much room there. I would prefer the center access, but if the deal is right I might could live with it. I do like the layout of the rest of the boat.

Great point by JimG. I could fit my 330 in an 80's 340 with room to spare. Boat sizing is a marketing dream or nightmare depending on whether you are buying or selling.

Measure the length at the water line of the hull only. Anything outside of that is, for the most part, not useable space.

Also, you will not fit in the engine room of the boat you fall in love with that fits your budget. It falls into the square peg round hole rule in physics.

As for your question as to why there may be "so many on the market".... No. not in my opinion.

Your target boat is likely to have a windlass anchor system which equates to less need to access the bow as well.
Happy shopping & welcome to CSR!

There are tons of boats on the market right now. All makes and models. Regardless of what you hear about the economy....it still sucks in the recreational spending areas. If you can afford to buy....now is the time.

Searay fixed their length to model size after 2010, so a 330 is a 33ft and 350 is a 35 ft. My 2009 350 is a 37' boat, Loa is 39.6, but that differs with the different platform

Ethan's tank. Your boat LOA 39'6". Do you have the optional extended platform? Without, that boat is 37'6". Didn't mean to hijack the thread, just verifying.

Correct! I just installed an extended platform from swimplatforms.com I'm now 40' 6" LOA, charged for 35'. I like it!

Is that platform you got an extended or hydraulic? I was thinking about swapping mine out for a hydraulic so I can mount a jetski to the back. If its hydraulic, about how much damage it do to your wallet?
