We took delivery of our new 220. Amazing boat! Coudn't be more pleased. Quite a departure from our Lund Fisherman 17!
Not much of the season left here in MN, but the fall colors on the river should be spectacular. I'll probably spend far too much time boating, lose my job, and have to put the boat up for sale...but what the heck.

I'm looking forward to hearing from "Gary".

Be careful of what you wish for. He can be rough on newbies.:smt043:lol:. I guess with 4 screaming kids, 1 angry wife and I forget how many dogs, you would be grumpy too.:smt043:lol:

He does a good job on his trip blog.

Glad to hear you like your new boat. In my opinion (as un-biased as it may be), the 220 is the best bang for the buck as far as bow riders go. It has a head, bar, seating for 10 (8 is better) and plenty of power. Great boat for skiing, tubing or wakeboarding and you can easily entertain. She is also easy to trailer and launch! I am getting 12 MPG while towing (not bad considering my 180 sport towed at 13-14 MPG). This boat will cut through chop almost as well as the 240 Sundeck (due to her weight and beam).

I added a set of Smart Tabs on mine and they improved the ride significantly. You may also want to look into the bow filler cushion if you don't already have one. We will be purchasing full camper canvas next year to try and 'extend' our boating season here in Michigan and enjoy our time in inclement weather.

Have fun and try to get her out as much as possible in the next few weeks. Winter really sucks when you have a new boat at home

'07 Trailblazer with I-6 motor. Sounds underpowered but I have never had any issues with the tow set-up. I typically keep her around 65 MPH and that seems to be the best for my MPG.

!2 mpg isn't too bad...What are you towing with?
