Good morning. I am not yet an owner but on Saturday I will be inspecting what I hope will become my new 1996 42 Aft Cabin in a few weeks. My offer has been accepted - now the details...

I do have a couple of questions about CSR.

1. Why are the threads listed backwards from every other forum I visit?

2. I am having a hard time using the search function. I can't figure out how to search using ALL the words in my list (logical AND). It seems to find threads with ANY of the words present (logical OR).

Anyway, this place seems to be a mine of useful information.

Hello and welcome fellow Canadian!
answers...
1) You can change the order in which postings are made in your UserCP under the "Edit Options" menu. I found this akward at first too but soon came around to liking the newest post being shown first, vs. ones that I've already read. I have since changed the preference in other forums as well.
2) This ? has been covered alot here lately but this method works well. Use google to search the site by typing... site:clubsearay.com "your search words here"

Good luck on your new purchase!!

Thanks for the advice folks. My wife and I took a trip to see the boat this last weekend. We are proceeding to formal survey. Basically solid, not what I would consider a "loved boat" but easily brought back to where it should be and it will be fun doing so!

Welcome & where will you be keeping your new boat?

Ken, local to you near Rockport/Ivy Lea. We are planning to drop by the marinas down there to see who has space. Any info?

For the record the survey was not the best. The seller barely touched the boat. Lots of things to fix but nothing too drastic. Except the oil analysis showed some things that could be expensive.

Anyway I negotiated the best price I could and she will be mine in a couple of weeks.

Wish me luck. Not a project boat but lots to do to get her where I want her.
