I just got my new garmin today :thumbsup: bought the 546S with the b60 thru hull transducer and for good measure I bought the fuel sensor :smt038:smt038

I just bought the 541s and I need some help with it. Its my first GPS unit and I noticed that as I am crusing along I will get a depth reading of about 9 or 10 feet then when I hit high speeds the shallow water alarm will say I am in 2 feet, then I will slow down and it seems to readjust to the acurate depth. This really freaks me out...any tips?

Your ducer is in a funky spot. You can try raising or lowering it. You might also try putting your range in manual mode at a little more than your typical depth around there.
