Santa paid attention and left me this new 13" stainless steel Edson Wheel with a Teak Power Knob. Installation was simple. Total shipped price $309.78

Here is the before:

Very Nice.

Did you ever consider one of the fancier steering wheels from a different model Sea Ray? I like the ones with perforated leather and wood but your Edson Wheel looks very nice.

I do have to admit though that the factory steering wheel on our 260DAs is one of the ugliest wheels Sea Ray uses on any of their boats.

Never considered any of the other Sea Ray wheels but Edson has a tremendous selection, including all wood and a mix of wood and chrome.

Interesting thing about the Sea Ray Wheel is that on my model the center part pops off to reveal the wheel nut. I first had pried off the center logo before discovering that....

Looks like velcro? I wonder if my 04 260 is the same? Nice upgrade, will have to consider.

Has anyone tried the Isotta wheel as a replacement? Is there a universal bolt pattern on all of the marine wheels or is an adapter plate typically needed? Never had any experience replacing one of these.

Nice and clean looking for sure.
What are you doing with the old wheel?

I'm holding the old wheel for when I trade this up for a larger Sea Ray....I'll take the Edson with me.

That is in fact velcro holding the OEM wheel nut cover on the old wheel.

Generally all new wheels fit on the same single threaded shank. What one usually needs are adaptor plugs to fit the wheel nut onto. Those adaptors usually come with the wheel or can be bought with the wheel.
