Restoration Marine has jumped on board to advertise with us and help keep the lights on around here. They do interior refits, sell nice interior accessories, and sell complete kits to upgrade the interiors of worn out older Sea Rays, or simply to change the look of your newer Sea Ray. Take a look at their website, they do some neat stuff. Here is an excerpt from their site to describe the company:

"Restoration Marine provides upgraded interior kits for Sea Ray, Carver, Bayliner and many other yacht types. These kits are made of the same high quality materials used by boat builders today to finish their interiors. There are many finishes to select from to create your dream interior and the best part is that most installations take less than a week to complete. If your current interior is tired or looks outdated, take heart- Restoration Marine can help you make your boat look new again."

Welcome aboard Restoration Marine and thanks for supporting CSR.

Welcome indeed!

Looks like they specialize in the bigger boat stuff.

I was hoping they had something for us smaller boats.

All,

I really enjoy this forum and it is a great resource for Sea Ray owners. We just launched the latest version of the www.restorationmarine.com website with a "Projects" section. All of the projects are from CSR members. Of course we give CSR members a 10% discount off the website. That coupon number is CSR2009 and can be entered at checkout.

Jim did a great job of getting us set up quickly and the initial response has been great.

Thanks for the intro. Looks like nice stuff

Wow that is some nice work!

I am planning to add a flatscreen TV to my salon (where Sea Ray puts the larger units at the factory). This will leave me with a large void where the existing CRT TV/DVD is (next to my galley) to fill. In a perfect world, I'd stick a small freezer in that spot, but all the comercial units are too tall/deep for that oddly shaped space. My question to you is has your company ever built a custom freezer unit to fit an odd-sized space? Failing that, do you have any other ideas for that space?

CJ,

Please send me an digital photo of the area so I can see what you are working with. On one boat we turned a similiar space into a small bar on another wine storage (according to my wife you can never have too much wine on board!). Both ideas work great using the old TV areas.

John,

Are your kits customised for a particular application, i.e. if I wanted to re-laminate all of my light colored mica with executive cherry do the pieces come custom cut for each panel or do you just supply bulk rolls of material and it's up to me to cut it or have it cut and installed?

My brother updates and installs custom kitchens and baths in homes and explained to me that in his world, he measures every door, drawer and panel and receives a package that is about 90~95% pre-fabricated that includes new cabinet doors and drawer fronts. With regard to counter tops, he either installs a new laminate or subs to a Corian or Granite vendor. Do you provide these custom pre measured kits?

Thanks, and great looking work by the way. Thanks for you support.

Your brother and I are trading emails!! I'm sending him the Samples tomorrow. If you send me a PM, I will send you a set as well. The .020 laminate is shipped as a rolled sheet 48"x100". Cutting out panels is really easy and the adhesive is already in place.

Best,

-John

Hey John,

My wife just saw your website. We have an 86 Sea Ray 300DB. She is in charge of re-modeling the interior. She wants to re-do the galley. What do you need to get the process started?

The best way to get started is to send me a Private Message with your address and I will get a Sample kit out to you tomorrow. If you could also send a few digital photos of your interior and the surfaces you would like to update that would be very helpful. Please send the photos to my email account: john@restorationmarine.com.

BTW your wife will really like this material. It will transform your existing galley.

Best,

John
