New Boat owner!!!! Charles County MD

I'm assuming your talking about flooring inside the cabin. I know for the cockpit and swim platform there's new synthetic flooring called Seadek. Its available in multiple colors. I'm looking into doing my platform with this. Perhaps you can do it inside as well. I'm sure they'll make it for anywhere.

Thanks I took your advise and will probably head up Sunday to DC. For the flooring I got the carpet place in this past weekend. I am kind of in the middle with the carpet but I will leave it this season and take care of the flooring at the end of the boating season.

+1 on the SeaDek. I did my swim platform and love it. Not that hot in the summer. You can walk on it while it is wet and it won't slip and slide.
Welcome aboard enjoy the boat.

Belated welcome. All the best with yer new boat. Hope you can post lots of pics of your inaugural cruise.

Should be a great weekend on the water in DC. We'll be out Saturday and possibly for a bit Monday.

Good thought on the carpet. I usually wait until the off season for major changes/upgrades.

Watch out for debris in the river. At slack tide yesterday there were a number of submerged logs near Mattawoman creek. I saw another large debris field near Mt. Vernon. Hopefully it will clear out by the weekend but be careful.

Definitely good advice. This is a big reason I stay in the channel when going up and down the Potomac. Potomac alligators are everywhere.

We'll sticking to the north this weekend. Likely anchoring near Roosevelt island.

Hello Guys:
I did go out for the past weekends but the debris in the water was heavy. Lots of hidden logs and other debris... Stayed at the south since by near Marshall Hall the debris was heavier so decided to stay down. Had lots of fun and was looking for you guys. Ate an Tims 2 but they told me Tim1 is the best. I will be out probably in a week since have to do some work on the house. Additionally I had the automatic pump switch for my shower drain not working and want to replace it. Should I replace the pump with the switch or just the switch? The pump looks new....

Tim's 1 has a better location in my opinion. We saw some debris in the DC area this weekend, but it wasn't too bad. We spent Sunday north of 3 sisters.

On the shower sump pump, I'm of the school of thought to replace pumps rather than fix them. Was your switch dirty and full of debris? See if that's the issue before declaring it dead.

yeap it waqs filthy with debris and seriously very bad. I decided to just g o and replace the switch bc the pump looks new. i will get it installed this weekend and see.
