My 2002 380 appears to have a intermittent problem with the port engine neutral switch. The shifter has to be rocked several times thru FWD/N/REV until I am able to start the engine. Sounds to me like the neutral switch.

Can someone tell me the location of the switch and what it looks like. If you have changed one out, were did you purchase a replacement?

I am not familiar with your particular boat, but I changed a neutral switch on a friend's Regal 380 last year. I removed the cover from the shifter levers and it was in plain sight. It was an easy repair.

I have the same issue with my 310 Sundancer 2001 .. I would appreciate a location, pict, part number ??

If these are Teleflex controls, check their site. They seem to have pretty good support information (PDF's, etc.).

if inboards, 90% of the time the neutral safety switch is on the transmission, white wires tapped into the starter circuit line...if I/O's the switch is in the shifter
