Hey Everyone, It's been a great run. It appears that after showing Nehalennia II last Wednesday the couple that looked at it gave me an acceptable offer this Saturday while we enjoyed the weekend in the San Jaun island's - Roche Harbor.
I spent Saturday afternoon, after receiving the call, and most of yesterday somewhat stunned that she will be gone soon.
My wife and I realized how many great trips she has given us and our kids, shared weekends with our relatives meeting them in their boats.
I think this Wednesday will be the day of transfer. :smt089
Once she is indeed trailering away and the taillights in view we'll begin the empty nest pangs of "What the *ell did we just do?"
and then the hunt for Nehalennia III. Can I edit my Screen name?

Sorry for the loss, but congratulations on your future gain! I think that after a couple of trips out on your next boat, you will forget all about Nehalennia II.

Todd-
Congrats on the sale! Lets hope it all goes well from now until Wednesday when the buyers deliver the money!

Don't be disappointed, but rater elated that you sold your boat and can now look for the next "family member". There sure appears to be plenty of boats out there for sale and looking for new owners!

If you need an extra set of eyes down here in Portland let me know! I'd be happy to help you out! What is your next step? A 'Dancer?
Stuart

Brent - Thanks , hopefully I'll have a bigger boat when you decide to visit up here

Hey Stuart, yes as a matter of fact there seems to be a really nice '03 26DA down in your neck of the woods and as soon as this one's gone I'll be heading down there to check it out.

Todd- Let me know if you need an extra set of eyes to look at the 26' dancer...More than happy to help!
Stuart

Congratulations on the sale Todd. I know exactly how you feel. I still wish I had my 240SD and I still miss it. :smt089 But I also like my 260DA.

Keep us posted on the hunt for the replacement. Hopefully it will be a short one and you will soon be telling us all about your new boat.

Cheer up: You are about to have one of the two happiest days of boat ownership (the day you sell).

Congratulations Todd. In addition to changing your screen name you will need to get an entire new set of photographs to post.
indeed!. New sig pics and a new helm with a different perspective to view the scenery!

When she gets towed away it will bring a tear to ya :smt089 I almost guarentee it! I remember how I felt when another pickup was towing my Ranger away....I also remember the smile on the new owners 10 year old son as they pulled out of my driveway...priceless!

BTW don't do anything silly like take her out for one last run...she might get upset and throw a rod or something like that!

Todd, you may want to email Jim once you decide on a new name. I checked to see if I could change it and I do not think I have the ability. :smt009

Wesley

Todd, congratulations! :smt038 The pain will be fleeting once you sign on the dotted line for that new cruiser and new good memories start being made. Best of luck! :smt038

Thanks again guys.

Wesley, I'll probably just create a new sign on name
I don't think you guys will wonder too hard who
"Nehalennia III" is
We talked about naming the New boat just Nehalennia and use the Scandinavian "RUNE" for 3 on the Transom.
(I'm still trying to find what that symbol is)
Only those I explain the name to will get the reference, but Calling out Nehalennia on the radio is sometimes tough enough, adding "three" to it may be too much
