I keep my 42ft express in a large lake that never freezes in Seattle. It has twin diesel inboards.
It will be my first winter with the boat. Do I need to "winterize" the engine or have a bilge heater to protect the engine from cracking?
I plan on keeping a heater on a thermostat to keep cabin/cockpit above freezing. Hopefully that will be enough...
Our winters are typically mild but can get down to 20s-30s although they are predicting a harsher winter this year.
Please help!
