Need some positive thoughts - update 3/12

Scott, good luck with your fight. It is tough but stay strong and keep your head up. My wife had kidney cancer at 18mo old and has lived 42yrs with one kidney and no issues.
 
Thanks everyone! With each day, I am feeling better about the whole situation....still sucks, but I am growing more confident that this is not what will eventually end me.

Scott, I am sorry to hear of your plight. I haven't been around much and just saw this thread. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family through this very challenging time. Cancer has visited my family too often, so I know what the battle entails. And I also have seen that it can be beat. Best of luck!

Surgery is on Thursday, hoping my surgeon is at the top of his game that day.

LOL.....I’ll see what I can do. I have some photos of the tumor on the MRI, but it freaks me out too much to look at it.

Thanks for the thoughts. I’ve been struggling this week, so every bit helps.

Scott my prayers on top of all the others. ----- F cancer!
Another positive story. My father in law about 20 years ago was diagnosed with kidney cancer. When they took the tumor out they also took the lower rib and some other areas around. So it was pretty involved. He went through chemo post surgery and was cancer free after that. He lived another 18years and died of something unrelated. You can beat this!

Scott, I got mouth cancer a year ago from smokin all my life. Took out half my tongue, rebuilt from arm muscle, don’t talk so good but I am healthy and free now. As one guy said, The tech is just amazing what they can do now. I bought my current boat after I got out of hospital and realized time to enjoy every minute. I hope you be fine, honest, the radiation was really bad. 6 weeks every day kicked my ass. Docs tried to tell me but they couldn’t relay how it would be. Lived on pudding and dropped 40 lbs that I still trying to regain. Anyway, I am now healthy and boating like you will be soon. What he say? “Tuco, there are 2 kinds of people in this world, those with cancer and those who dig”, something like that.
 
And I gonna take this opportunity to apologize to all the peeps in tiki bar and holding tank about politics. I have a diff perspective on things and if you think a particular politician is gonna make your life better, god bless you, spring coming soon, less time to launch than haulout. So let’s have fun, start talkin about getting them ready and have some fun’!!!!
